Cas and *other people*

Okay I've seen a lot of debate between people who never want Cas to ever be with anyone who isn't Dean, and people who either want it or don't care as long as Destiel is endgame. Here's what I think. When I was a teenager and had only been in one serious relationship, I also believed that you don't need multiple romantic or sexual relationships to find real, meaningful love. But now that I'm older and have been in more relationships, I know that of course you don't NEED experience. But experience definitely fucking helps. It helps you know yourself better- what you like, what you hate, what you need in a partner, what you can tolerate and what actually turns out to be a deal breaker. I rolled my eyes SO HARD when my mom used to tell me I needed to date around to figure out what I really wanted. But you know, she was fucking right. Human relationships are freaking complicated, even when you were born and raised a human. So you know, if people are cool with the idea of Castiel, (who is of ANOTHER SPECIES and has documented, CANON issues with human communication and emotion), experimenting or having other attractions before he finally gets with Dean, I don't see what the big fucking deal is. It's a personal interpretation of the character that IS NOT ANY LESS VALID than the whole "Cas can only be with Dean!!!" thing. Some of these people who are sooooooo adamant about Cas only ever having eyes for Dean are just being really rude. It's not necessary to insult other fans with different opinions just because the idea of Cas even looking at anyone else makes you jealous. And the vehement insistence that "true love can happen the very first time!!" and claiming to be "insulted" by the suggestion that multiple relationships might be more advantageous? If the people talking like that aren't teenagers and/or very inexperienced, I will eat my goddamned hat. Because it's either that, or you are waaaaaay too attached to the idea of Cas practically belonging to Dean. I don't know, maybe I'm being harsh, but I've been seeing a lot of this discussion in more than one place lately and I'm sort of getting sick of it. I thought the whining about Megstiel would eventually die down, but it looks like it's just transforming into a different argument which is still equally as annoying...

I was finally able to watch the prayer scene a few times in a row in high quality and holy fucking shit JENSEN ACKLES IS A FUCKING GENIUS. Did you guys SEE this fucking acting in this fucking scene?? 

Dean is so fucking emotional. Almost fucking desperate. The way he closes his eyes when he says "I'm asking you", like he's really begging. The way his eyes are wetter when he opens them. The way hIS CHEST IS HEAVING FROM GETTING SO EMOTIONAL

And how fucking INTIMATE is this scene??? They could have chosen literally anywhere for Dean to pray but it was in his room, alone, ON HIS BED. They show like two overhead shots that show Dean AND THE ENTIRE BED. And during the beginning of the prayer, the camera is set up so Dean is on the left side of the screen and the right is mostly empty, even though Dean is facing left and his back is to the space, which makes it look even emptier...

I'M SORRY BUT THIS SCENE IS MOSTLY ABOUT HOW MUCH DEAN MISSES AND IS WORRIED ABOUT CAS

Sure yeah he's worried about Sam, of course, that's why he's praying about it and trusting Cas with it. But Sam is there with Dean. He can keep an eye on him even if he knows Sam is covering up his pain. HE CAN'T SEE CAS, HE HAS NO IDEA WHERE HE IS OR IF HE'S EVEN ALIVE

So I'm watching the gay thing scene again, because that's what I do. And I get to where he says "federal... thing", basically repeating the exact thing that Aaron just said was attractive. I've always thought that meant Dean was trying to flirt back, (see "the fucking gay thing"), but now I am UTTERLY CONVINCED because I just realized how significant it is that when he's awkwardly trying to leave he says "okay, citizen".

CITIZEN. Every time I watch this I'm like "what a fucking weird and awkward thing to say" but OF COURSE HE SAID IT BECAUSE IT REINFORCES THAT HE'S A FED OH GOD WHAT AN ADORABLE SHITHEAD I'M GOING TO DIE

WE GET AN EPISODE WHERE DEAN IS HIT ON BY A DUDE AND GETS FLUSTERED AND EVEN FLIRTS WITH HIM

AND THEN THE VERY NEXT EPISODE

HE LOOKS TERRIFIED WHEN A GIRL TRIES TO KISS HIM AND HE SAYS "I CAN'T" WHILE LOOKING LIKE HIS HEART IS ABOUT TO BREAK

...

IF YOU THINK BOTH OF THESE SCENES ARE JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT

Okay you guys what is up with the dude in the tan coat behind Dean during the bar scene? I've watched the scene probably fifty times now so I'm noticing every little fucking thing, don't judge me. But there's this dude with dark hair and a tan coat talking to a lady in the background right over Dean's shoulder. And he's wearing like a blue shirt thing which is why I even noticed it in the first place: I looked away from the screen for a second and out of the corner of my eye I was like "wait, Cas?"

There are lots of other people in the background and around the bar, but this dude is positioned so he's right over Dean's shoulder in the camera. At first I was like "haha that's cool but probably a coincidence I'm crazy"

But then I watched Dean leave the bar and answer the phone to talk to Sam and THAT GUY FOLLOWS DEAN OUT THE DOOR DSDHSDFDSF Of all the extras in that bar, the tan coat dude and the lady he was chatting with are the ones who follow Dean right out?? And you don't see him until Dean's about to start telling Sam about his "gay thing". 

...i need to stop watching this scene i really do someone please help me

After yesterday’s episode there is no way you can convince me that Dean is straight. Like before I was already pretty damn sure he could be bi but now it’s just… It’s getting to be way too much to just laugh off as a joke. Seriously, Dean’s been hit on by guys before, right??? Or at least he never used to have any trouble saying “I don’t swing that way”. But this time there was absolutely NO denial of that sort, just “no moment… This is a federal investigation”. As in, giving his work as an excuse for turning Aaron down rather than the fact that HE DOESN’T SWING THAT WAY. And why so fucking flustered all of a sudden? I fucking love the contrast between the badass, confident Dean that strides over to the table and shows Aaron his badge, and the surprised bashful Dean fumbling with the badge and running into tables afterwards… I mean COME ON. That is fucking BLATANT. This feels like it’s HUGELY significant. And if it turns out that it’s not, and that it was all just for fun, and they never end up making Dean canonically bisexual? Then I would call queer baiting. But for now I am CONVINCED that bi!Dean is what they’re moving towards… I mean did you see how Dean reacted to Aaron the rest of the episode? As if the “gay thing” scene wasn’t fucking enough, I swear to God Jensen played Dean as though he had a little mini-crush. Like he was realizing that he liked the idea of being hit on by a guy and was a little disappointed when it was just a ploy…

No seriously I still can’t believe they went there. Is anybody else freaking out over this??? I feel like there should be more freaking out going on here.
