in the lego dreamzzz universe, two worlds exist parallel to each other: the waking world (normal universe) and the dream world (self explanatory)! most people just explore the dream world in a sort of semi-aware state not realizing that everyone's dreams are connected, but there are a select few people who are "aware dreamers" - basically ppl who can control what happens in their dreams and realize that the dream world is connected!

many people who are aware dreamers are selected by the night bureau to become a part of their organization to protect the sanctity of the dream world. ione originally was a part of their miami division as a teenager, but an incident involving a dream entity that couldn't properly be contained had him 'honorably discharged', with the bureau thinking he lost his abilities to properly control his dreams and that he'd be a danger to the rest of his team.

as an adult, he works as a new english teacher at francis b. wooley middle school in the waking world, and in the dream world, he has an idol persona that has the strange ability to warp people's minds with his music (though this is not something he can control - it's due to the dream entity i mentioned before).

eventually, he meets up with the main characters, and oz / albert make it their mission to help separate the dream entity from him so he can stop accidentally causing problems for them LMAO

well, most ships between the adults in dreamzzz are rarepairs apart from maybe beau/hannah or oz/lunia, so i would say it is Uncommon… maybe as popular as something like beau/claudius LOL

💞: Aside from with your f/o, who else would you commonly be shipped with? Why?

BEAU definitely. not only would they have a funny ship name (beaubo) and they both struggle with similar issues involving trauma in the dream world, but beau’s heavy interest in music and bo’s interest in education would make them both good co-parents for zoey (though, similarly to mateo, i don’t think zoey would like the idea of her mother “being replaced”)

☕️: What are the most common plots of shipping fics between you and your f/o?

oz and albert helping bo with his dream parasite via scientific experimentation (of varying levels of efficacy), albert fronting in oz’s body in the waking world and making bo feel …a type of way about it, oz and albert fighting over him LMAO
