Despite all his certainty, there was very little surprise that Finn was nervous now that he stood on the Mansfields’ doorstep. He had to take a few deep breathes before he raised his hand to knock, but almost immediately he lowered his arm again, taking a little more time. There was no reason to rush it, he knew. This was one of the most important questions he would ask - possibly the second most important question of all - and there was a lot riding on the answer. All being well, he would only ever do this once in his entire life, and getting rid of those initial jitters seemed to be a good idea. Finally, his knuckled came in contact with the door. He rocked onto his toes as he gave three light raps, then he settled back down to flat foot, staring around the street nervously as he waited.
