I headcanon that often time, even when Ingo does gain some memories back, he's very upset that not all of it has come back to him

Like he has bits of the middle of a puzzle, but he's scrambling to figure out the rest of it and it's exhausting for him every time.

So sometimes Gris would find him trying to force remember the memories. They'd have to break him out of the spiral and remind him that it takes time to heal and to process everything. Even if the memories don't all return, he is still Ingo and Gris is still there to wipe his tears
