so many of my character crushes fit that type holy shit

not all of them??? because i can list a bunch of characters that don’t match that exactly??? but honestly all of them fit at least a few of those bullet points

like: go to all my characters that i either RP or Love Immensely and you can basically use it as a checklist -- usually if a character has at least two or three of the following:

Older guy

Scruffy

Tragic as fuck backstory

Acts like an obnoxious asshat / is very sarcastic and snarky

Fighty as hell

Is secretly (or not so secretly) tired and sad and/or angry

Dad Potential / Is a Dad

LOTS OF SYMBOLISM TO PLAY WITH

Issues galore (I tend to drift towards boys with regret/guilt/self-directed bad feelings)

Is Smart

Tricksters!!!!

Probably at the very least an anti-hero, also possibly villain

Very sympathetic / Possibility for a redemption arc (even if it’s in fanworks)

G - Grossest Memory: I'd fallen on the playground in primary school just as we were called back into the building for class. I’d gotten sand in my mouth. For some reason I believed it would be rude to spit it out; I didn’t want anyone to see me do that. So I held it in my mouth as I lined up with the other students. I didn’t know what to do. It tasted so bad. My solution? ... Eat it. As we marched back into the building single-file, I silently suffered my self-imposed punishment of chewing kernels of tough, artificial sand. The taste was unbearable, absolutely awful, but I persevered until the deed was done. Then I got some water from the water fountain. That day I was a champion of politeness.

O - One Wish: My biggest wish is to start testosterone.

P - Person You Called Last: My boyfriend. He’s in Japan so we’ve been calling and FaceTiming a lot.

X - X-rays: I’ve had many dental x-rays through the years--I had braces when I was younger, along with impacted wisdom teeth that had to be removed. I have scoliosis as well so there are countless x-rays of my twisted back out there on file. 

Y - Your favourite food: Curry goat! But now that I’m pescetarian... it’s a toss up between alfredo+spinach and cheddar broccoli soup.

I dream about the day tumblr creates a feature that allows you to search more than one tag at the same time, so that instead of getting a bunch of pictures of people smiling and posting weird shit about their dental hygiene, I can actually find gifs and pictures by searching "Teeth" and "Film" or something like that. 

That would be really helpful.
