Anytime someone else mentioned something remotely related to the fandom, they’d just have to give each other the tiniest look to know each other were thinking the exact same thing, and now that’s spread over into everything and they just kinda know each other’s minds now

Having (had?) internet/tumblr friends that you don’t really talk to or keep up close with  anymore is a danger game sometimes; for example I have, on more than one occasion, accidentally sent a total stranger a text yelling about fandom stuff with absolutely no preamble (due to the friend changing their phone number at some point). I’ll leave the reaction to your imagination.
