It’s a very me thing. But whenever people just default call the durin race in Arknights ‘dwarfs’ I kinda want to just retort ‘they’re elves’.
But then like. LotR has kinda made general public forget that, oh hey, look, in folklore, elves were related to fairies and were diminutive shapeshifters.
Like. The fairy tale of the shoemaker and his helper elves isn’t exactly unknown but like. Modern fantasy tropes. I guess.
Not a complaint per say. Just a thing. Like I said. It’s a very me thing.
