Heh! Chapter 12 is currently about 4k words and I think 3k of them are going to end up deleted, so here’s a decent-sized snippet that may or may not appear in the final draft:
Loki let them talk as he poked at his slice of pizza with his fork. Was he supposed to eat the toppings first? The bread?
He must have looked distressed, because Tony said, “You okay over there, Reindeer Games?”
“This pizza is impossible to eat,” Loki announced.
Daisy started laughing. “That’s hilarious.”
“I don’t see what’s so funny,” Loki snapped. The look he shot her was cutting enough to make her clamp her mouth shut. “It’s your ridiculous food that’s the problem.”
“No, it’s just -” Daisy shook her head, glancing helplessly at Bruce, who only shrugged.
“Thousand-year-old god, can’t figure out a slice of pizza.” Tony reached for the pizza box and lifted a slice for himself. “It’s a little funny, Loki, you have to admit. Look, you just hold it and eat it all at once. Like this.” He took a large bite of the pizza to demonstrate.
Loki was torn between being offended at being laughed at and being dismayed that Tony was eating the pizza using only his hands. The latter won out. “That’s appalling.”
“That’s delicious,” Tony corrected after swallowing.
It genuinely never occurred to Loki to pick it up with his bare hands and eat it, lmfao. Idk I just love that he gets stumped over pizza.
Currently: listening to Mozart’s Magic Flute while working on German to English translations for a mountain biking resort.

So I’m watching old RPG Maker horror videos again...for reasons, and I noticed on @markiplier‘s playthrough of The Crooked Man he mentions wanting to create an RPG Maker horror game of his own, saying he has a really dark, dark idea for the story he wants to make. This is Part 6 of the series, from all the way back in September of 2013.
Some people have mused in the comments on if that idea may have turned into WKM (or Damien) and I can’t help but wonder if it did, or if he still has an idea from that far back up his sleeve for a totally different kind of project.
(I definitely can’t criticize him if he’s had to put it aside for everything else he’s done...Trying very hard right now not to look over at the stories I’ve been meaning to write that’ve been sitting around for years now.)
