Did you know that Albert Camus was a big fan of the Dostoevsky character Ivan Karamazov and even portrayed him in the stage production of The Brothers Karamazov that he produced?

#things I learned when researching for one of my limbus company ocs#I'm shocked I haven't seen any Ivan Karamazov limbus OC's#like dude converses with the devil which could easily be translated into dealing with distortion#also the layers#like on the surface is a pompous intellectual bastard who doesn't care about anyone#but then there's the fact that he rejects God out of hatred for the suffering of innocent's#and it's like... the grief the guilt the all consuming despair#there's the fact that he stops Dimitri from killing their father even though he claims to not care#the fact that he puts the full responsibility for his father's death onto himself#how much he cares about Alexei and even Dimitri considering that he decides to investigate Fyodor's murder at all and then plans the escape#and then there's Katya how neither of them are quite willing to tell each other how much they love the other but they do#like what if a guy were so full of feelings that he had to shut them off most of the time because the grief is too overwhelming#that's why he fucking snaps and goes on that tirade in the courtroom#because he is so full of emotional repression#anyways yes Vanya Karamazov is one of my limbus ocs and yes she is going to kiss Meursault sloppy style#I think Albert Camus would approve#she's getting the ish/rodya/out is treatment because I relate too much and so it's going to be a yumeship thing#sorry#anyways I've already got ids planned out for her#her bad end id is going to be based on Pluto from library of Ruina because I think that would be the worst for her#to become an outright creator of the suffering that she hates and also he's going to be the devil that talks to her#yapping
