Gale winds flew through the great planes of Maltbane, the forestry dancing to the tune of their symphony. Flowers bloomed, sprouting with a radiance inherited from the goddess of flora and fauna.
The melody of nature remained unheard of to mortal ears. They quietly sang away in the background of life and strife, unaffected and unaffecting of all.
And yet, it wasn't a god, a deity or even a fairy who perceived their unheard melody....but a mortal child. A small being, unaffected and unaffecting of all, a kindred spirit to the flora. Thus, they accepted the child as their own.

Under the ever watchful gaze of Solaris, the animals lived in continuous harmony, the plantations thrived, and the children played with merriment.
They smiled and smiled, laughed and laughed, played and played until they could no longer. It seemed to confuse and captivate the child of fauna, who couldn't help but creep ever so closer with every jingle of giggles.
Eventually, one of the children noticed her and invited her over with a friendly and wide grin. "Hey! do you know how to play crocodile?"
The child of fauna blinked slowly before shaking her head. The children eagerly showed her how to play, not taking notice of her silence as she nodded along to their words.
The game began, the other children hopped up onto the empty market stalls. The child followed their movements and soon a single child was left standing alone on the stone ground.
The little flower watched curiously as the lone child went to the stalls, roaring like a crocodile, pawing at the other children's feet. They giggled and moved back, teasing the 'crocodile' by kicking their feet out before moving back with an excited squeal.
One particularly brave child jumped down and ran to another stall, giggling and shouting with excitement as the 'crocodile' chased after them. The little flower watched in fascination as the crocodile failed to catch the other and ran off to the others, who also got down and ran to other stalls.
The little flower, with a light yet nervous heart, jumped down. She gasped as the 'crocodile' turned towards her and crept closer with a menacing (cute) grin. She stared in stunned silence before the encouraging shouts from the other children woke her up.
She turned on her feet and sprinted with surprising agility, the wind rushed into her ears as a sense of excitement filled her. She could barely hear their exclamations, could barely feel the burning rays of Solaris and could think nothing but this moment.
It was the first moment, that {name} has felt alive.

Ivory blankets covered the city of Cremo, most of the animals and plants had peacefully gone to slumber. Yet the children continue to play in the slippery and cold streets.
{name} had come to call the city her home, as she had with the forests and mountains. The lady hummed a passing tune she heard from a group of orchids. She perked up, glancing to the right and seeing a bird shivering in a window sill.
The child of flora, walked up to the avian and gently cradled it. "broken wing..." She murmured, placing it into the pocket of her coat before quickly heading to the blacksmiths.
{name} walked into the always hot establishment, placing the bird near a furnace. She took off her coat and bundled the bird up in it, watching with relief as the shivering stopped.
"Another one?" The head blacksmiths sighed at her, wiping his sweat off with a worn towel before glancing at the bird.
"Yeah, this one's got a broken wing too..." She rolled up the sleeves of her tunic and gently cradled the bird, a soft golden glow emitting from her hands. Soon, the bird chirped and got up.
The blacksmith watched in amusement as the bird stared at the child of fauna before letting out of another chirp and flew away....only it was straight into the glass of a nearby cup.
{name} stared at the bird blankly.
"Man, birds are stupid."

"WHOOOOP!" {name} flinched as the wind carried the barbaric shout of a man to another, she turned towards the sea. Squinting her eyes, she could barely make out two figures on a boat. She blinked slowly as one of them dunked their heads into the water.
"Should I do something about this..." She pursed her lips. The child of fauna didn't really want to go anywhere near the freezing water, but thankfully, the person pulled their head out of the water before she had moved.
The person's face seemed to be very red, most likely from waterboarding himself in near subzero water. She huffed, a sense of guilty responsibility driving her as she walked to the dock where they parked soon after that fiasco.
{name} was surprised to be beaten by what looks to be a noble woman and a group of other nobles, she watched in curiosity as the lady held out a letter to 'Master Lloyd'.
The little flower expected it to be handed to the brown haired male judging from the look on his face but the lady instead handed it to the silver haired knight by his side.
She snorted a little at the brown haired male's crestfallen face, the knight accepted the letter with a blank look. The noble and her entourage soon left happily and all who stood left was the noble man, his knight and a little flower.
The knight turned to look at her. She shivered at the piercing gaze suddenly directed at her and quickly moved to the noble man who's cheeks were still red.
{name} wasn't thinking when Javier Asrahan almost beheaded her as she crossed into Lloyd Frontera's personal space. {name} wasn't thinking when she cupped Lloyd's cheeks and began healing. She definitely wasn't thinking as the warm golden glow of her mana enveloped the noble man and even crawled onto his knight, healing both.
{name} began thinking again when she pulled away and faced the shocked faces of both men. So she did what she did best, what she always relied on in a crisis, she ran away.

Over the course of the next few days, {name} could feel the curious yet weary gazes of the noble and knight duo everywhere she went. Even when she turned her head to look around like a mad woman, she couldn't see him.
After what felt like months, she finally lost it and went into the forest. Finally, she heard the dried up leaves getting crushed under their feet and smirked.
'Gotcha.'
She lured them deeper, whispering for the flowers and creatures still awake to keep quiet. They preened under her gaze and complied, turning a blind eye to the clueless men.
"My lord...are you sure about this?" The ever careful and cautious knight murmured, his gut told him that they were walking straight into a trap. The noble men's summoned creatures seemed to agree, making their corresponding noises.
"It'll be fine..." Lloyd grinned with a carefree attitude, covering the nervousness he also felt.
Truthfully, the young lord didn't know why he was doing this. He was supposed to be making plans for the mermaid statue, calculating the materials and time needed for the construction. Yet here he was, chasing after a mysterious girl with an even more mysterious healing power.
"But you'll be there to protect me, right? So I'll be fine."
Javier stared at Lloyd for a long while before sighing, his hand gripping the handle of his blade. He did not know whether to think of his master anymore.
'Whatever, I'm sure I'll be able to dispatch of any threats.'

The two continued to follow after the ever fleeting figure of the little flower, through winding turns and thick snow ridden pathways until they eventually reached a clearing filled with white and purple flowers.
"Where did she go...?" Lloyd murmured with confusion, looking around the clearing. Javier pursed his lips, his tense shoulders relaxing a bit as the scent of flowers reached his nose.
The summoned creatures excitedly ran towards the beautiful flora. Strangely, they were in bloom as though it wasn't the dead of winter.
"Ppodong!!" They smelled the fauna with happy expressions, nuzzling the petals of the flowers as the men walked around the field.
"Who knew such an area would be here of all places..." Javier murmured, bending down to caress the petal of a flower. Lloyd gave a noise of agreement.
'But...why do they look like they've just bloomed...?' He questioned with furrowed eyebrows, a cold breeze washed the area yet none of them seemed to feel it.
The flowers glowed even further as a pleasant sweet smell wafted through the clearing and into their noses, their tensed figures began relaxing.
"What...was I...thinking again...?" Lloyd murmured as his creatures fell asleep. He fell onto his knees, his eyes begging to be closed. Even Javier seemed to be struggled, using his sword to hold himself up.
Eventually, Lloyd couldn't take it anymore and fell unconscious. This left Javier as the last one still standing.
"What....?" The knight muttered in disbelief, his eyes snapping to the flowers as the scent intensified and soon took him under as well.
...
..
.
"What a stubborn dude." A figure appeared from atop the branches. {name} jumped down and inspected the fallen bodies of her victims.
"Thanks guys." She hummed, the flowers glowed and swayed before disappearing into a burst of butterflies who flew away.
"It took three times the amount to knock him down..." She crouched down, poking Javier's cheeks. "What a scary man."
"Well..." She stood back up and stretched. "What shall I do with them now...?"
Slowly, an evil grin formed on her lips as she reached down to shove her hands into the knight's pockets.
