Announcing ALTERFEST a one-day, outdoors event in Washington DC for alterhumans of all ages! Coming Summer 2026. In the meantime, i’ll be making a website, registration form, and detailed flyers! There will be 3 “panels”/talks, submissions for those will open in Fall 2025. I’m super excited to work on this project especially with my friends. More details to come
@alterfest was so much fun! It was so surreal to be around so many other alterhumans! I also tried to get on a unicycle? (Did NOT work for me LMAO) That was so neat though lol.
I also made myself a fronting kandi bracelet!
This was my first time being open about fronting with an in-person group, and it was such a lovely experience! Though everytime I was asked my name, I wasn't sure if I should've said the body's name, our system name, or like.. my name lol. But I think we all got the idea XD Everyone there was so awesome and kind, and I also even met another system! That was so cool!! Also our bird hyperfixation was activated when we saw a barn swallow for the first time! That was super awesome ^^ ALSO WEARING OUR TAIL WAS SO FUN! I should front with it more!

Meet the event owner! (Realized i should prob introduce myself besides the page on my website)
I’m Luka (or Pluto as i’m known in therian spaces), i’m 21 and my pronouns are it/its. I’ve been running smaller events for adult alterhumans for a year now, and i’ve been wanting to expand and go big for 2026. I named my event as i didn’t want it to just be a meetup, i wanted it to be unforgettable and something that occurs yearly! My goal is to one day have the funds and help to start a convention, but right now its just me and my mom who has had past experience in event coordination and offered her help :3. I hope to see you at Alterfest!

Speaking on the recent news, i understand if you do not want to attend my event for your safety. I know we arent in the countries that are being targeted, but it is still a scary time and can spread. To guarantee safety we are making a paid reservation at the park so that if anyone disturbs us we can legally kick them out. I also highly encourage to not come alone especially if you are a minor. Travel outside of the reservation site in pairs or groups or take your gear off. Stay safe everybody <3
