I am a cat holotherian and a werewolf shapeshifter. I’m spiritually a cat and physically both animals. i discovered my therian identity in 2016 and have been a part of the community since then.

Great Lakes Alterhuman+ (18+)

This is an 18+ discord server for alterhumans in and around the Great Lakes Region. It's target demographic is nonhumans, fictionfolk & factfolk, and plurals. It also welcomes other alterhumans, furries, pagans, witches, queer folk, and other alternative people.

The server is pretty bare-bones at the moment, but we're open to input on what we should add.

As someone who is super interested in getting to know people irl I'm wondering how you do things like organize or find meetups? What are the best platforms for it? How much success have you had with alter fest?

Hello! I started on tumblr to organize meetups actually, I put out a post with my general area and it just coincidentally reached some beings nearby so we made a discord! I would try tumblr but also furry discords/telegrams, there will probably be one or multiple for your area. I got a lot of reach for alterfest through furry discords. It is hit or miss if the local furry spaces overlap with the alterhuman community, though. As for alterfest, it hasn’t happened yet but i have around 30 beings signed up to attend! I feel like thats a success. Also just a general disclaimer, remember to always do meetups in a public place, and try to get a little background on the person/people youre meeting with!

Theres a lot more people interested in this project than i thought there would be! I’m really happy, i will probably go forward with it in the future

What is the project? It is an idea to create a published book anthology of alterhuman short stories, poetry, etc. I will also be looking for artists for page illustrations and covers

have you looked in partial DID? its a version of DID that exists without switches (or very rare switches), just having the host control the body alone

Can you be plural and not a system? I feel like I am multiple beings but only I (pluto) have control of the body. I’m using alth tags cuz i know a lot of yall are systems and have more knowledge than me!
