hi hello everyone, i'm el ( he / him ; pst ; 25+ ) ! hanbyul is my boy and he is... quite a boy at that. i know the bios were posted, but for those of us who don't absorb a lot of info at once ( hint: me ) under the cut is a quick summary of hanbyul and, underneath that will be some ideas for plots / connections !
i haven't finished the last part yet, but his stats and biography are found on one page right HERE. i'll be listing wanted connections below, but also watch HERE for more i might add throughout the day. for some random headcanons, i'll have a page HERE ( but it's also... empty... )

grew up an only child with two loving parents
went to university and majored in dancing ( though it was disapproved of by his parents, they allowed it bc of it being a 'phase' he would outgrow )
his biggest supporter was his grandfather though, always eager to see the new dances hanbyul learned whenever he took him out for their annual fishing / camping trips
on the way home from one trip with his grandfather, they were in car wreck
his grandfather lost his life while hanbyul lost the use of his legs ( for the foreseeable future )
guilty he survived, and resentful that his parents wanted him to move on from dancing anyway, hanbyul withdrew from everyone but childhood friend
this friend decided to give hanbyul an escape -- alterscape ; in game hanbyul could walk again, could DANCE again
so he and his friend proceed through some levels together, getting familiar with the game when, suddenly, they're taken back to level one and the annnouncement sends chills down their spines
hanbyul freaks out and tries to exit the game by grabbing ahold of the nerve gear when his friend stops him and convinces him they can get out
so, with hanbyul's supporting abilities, they proceed through the levels together and rest every so often
it's like this for several months, until, one day, his friend decide to proceed through without resupplying -- it's a boss and his friend is SURE they can win it without having to go back
despite hanbyul's protests, he goes with and the battle is too hard -- his friend falls right in front of him and hanbyul flees back to level one
so now, three years after being trapped in the game, and just two after losing his best friend, hanbyul lives by fishing, a little hunting, and delivering things around ; he hasn't been to a fighting level in two years

hello everyone i’m a bit late to the intro party but i’m finally here~! my name’s daisy, i’m here to pilot one of your resident snakes :,) bio and profile pages could use a little more tweaking but they’re up, & i’ll stick some bullet point info on jiseong under the cut as well --- as for plots etc. just let me know if you prefer tumble chat or discord, i have one that i barely use but i can give it out. now, with that:
jiseong is 26, he’s basically a grouchy old man at this point
he just wants to go back to his life and job in seoul
he only joined alterscape because of his nerd little brother, who got himself killed like a week into the game
jiseong was kind of a despondent mess after that and has never really addressed his feelings in a healthy way
silent vipers picked him up pretty early on, really in their first recruitment sweep. he knows they’re slimy but he doesn’t care. or ... he does care, but feels a little helpless to do anything about it, so he’s just playing along for now
he’s not a fighter and doesn’t like getting his hands dirty, but he pulls his weight by collecting info for the guild. if he’s talking to anyone, it’s probably because they did something interesting / noticeable and he’s out to find out how the guild can play off that.
his manners might seem nice but he’ll sell anyone to satan for one corn chip

hiya lovelies, the name is sun (19, she/her, gmt) and i am absolutely ecstatic to be here with my kiddo kwon taesoo, who is a thief for silent vipers as well as quite possibly the most passive aggressive person there can be !! i havent finished all his pages yet, but here is his bio and statistics page for now. under the cut is an unnecessarily long tldr and i cant wait to plot with you all ♡
kwon taewoo, 20 years old, level 7 thief for silent vipers
so basically he grew up in a poor household with parents that didn’t really have enough time to take care of him as they were more occupied with working, thus leading him to have very damaged relationships with them
(even though he understands that their distance from him was by desperation and not by choice, he still resents them deeply as he practically had to raise himself)
learned from a young age that being dirt poor meant that he had to work twice, thrice, four times harder than most people and so dedicated a huge amount of time in his life to just studying and trying to become better than everybody
flew through school with flying colours ... never really dropped from always being first in the year but developed a sort of bratty personality that people either loved or hated (spoiler alert it was mostly the latter) and learned how to not snap under intense amounts of pressure
read: he has been bottling everything up for two decades now
towards the end of junior year one of his friends managed to get their hands on alterscape and so they both logged in together to try it out of boredom which, unsurprisingly, led them to get trapped inside the game
they got separated pretty quickly and taewoo hasn’t seen them since, but he’s written them off as dead and has made zero (0) efforts to find them
rose through the levels using a mixture of skill, wit, charms and stealing and now sits at a comfortable level seven! he found a bow and arrow during his second day and has been using it ever since, with his skill being fire arrow (so his arrows shoot fire or burst into flames, although it can be used for a limited amount of time)
sometime during his second year in the game when he was halfway through stealing resources from a group, he was found by the silent vipers who took him in, thus giving him a sort of home he never expected to find or actually ever had in the first place and so has a stubborn sort of loyalty and affection for any member of the guild
and that’s pretty much it! now that he’s in his third year of the game and twenty years old, he’s almost (key word: almost) given up hope on ever escaping alterscape (even if he knows that he could have an incredibly bright future if he did) and focuses more on working with the silent vipers and generally raising hell for kicks/entertainment
personality wise: incredibly intelligent, a bit jaded and distrustful of new people, but always hides his suspicions and plans by coming off as bratty which causes people to undermine him, as well as his fairly young age. ambiguously flirty with every person he meets, but that’s more to do with his boredom than anything else. a key trait is that he absolutely absolutely ADORES the silent vipers and he sees their as his solace, like a sort of comfort he can always return to and would probably do almost anything for them
