Hi Soup! I'm a wannabe writer and a fan of your work. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how you put so much emotion into your works. Currently I'm working on a dark murder drama and could really use your help! Ps. Take all the time you need away from your writing. I know how horrible it is for people to nag about when they get to see the next chapter. You are amazing, and don't owe us anything.
i have been STEWING over how to answer this bc i wanted to give you a really good answer. what i came up with is that i focus really really hard on making my tone very like... conversational. use contractions, think about how you talk rather than how you think you should write. but also you need to build your character’s voice and personality deeply enough that you know what tone their thoughts need to be in per the situation. does that sound stupid? penny’s high-energy and writing from her perspective means following a particular flow, stuff built up from her experiences that shaped her. idk, i hope this made at least a bit of sense ahhhhhhh i feel like it sounds dumb
You said you think Thanos self-harms in one of your hcs, how do you think Nam-gyu would react if he found out about it?

This is an interesting question that I lowkey have never thought about, lol (so forgive me if my response is stupid or not what you wanted).
Based on the fact that right after Red Light Green Light we see Namgyu asking Thanos if he wasn’t feeling well (whether or not it was to get on his good side and play up the ‘i’m so concerned for you’ act is another question altogether) I think he outwardly would act… sort of awkward about it. I personally don’t headcanon or really see Namgyu self harming at all (unless you count canonical drug use as self harm) so I think it would sorta weird him out.
Especially with the way in which he sees Thanos as this sort of awesome above average guy and heavily looks up to him/wants to be accepted by him, I think knowing that he self harms would be kinda like damn…. he’s not actually untouchable and kinda weird…..
Basically, I don’t think he would have a very ‘nice’ reaction about it. I think he’d essentially just ask if Thanos is okay and that would pretty much be it. He doesn’t know how to respond to that information and he already has a fuckton of other stuff going on in his life so why should he really care that much?
That being said, I think Thanos would appreciate the lack of response. I don’t think he’d want to be fussed over and basically have to have Namgyu walk on eggshells all the time, because he’d get annoyed fast. It’s sorta like a don’t ask don’t tell situation. With mutual benefits.
I wrote this at work so blame that if this response is a little stupid :p
"i dont think this game is very good for you"
