I was asked to make an alternative map of Edinburgh, for a project.  Since I have dyscalculia and cannot read a map, this was especially challenging for me.  I decided therefore, to make a map that I could understand.  I navigate by green areas, shops and landmarks, rather than by street names or compass points.  My map reflects this.  I also had to turn the map around to draw it - and therefore understand it, so the top of the map is not north (which means nada to me frankly).
