  Actually, the “begin” part of the title might be a bit of an exaggeration as we have heard whining on this front for some time. Allow me to offer a recent – and rather blatant – example:

I suddenly want to do a teen wolf comic or something, but with screen caps/edits and text. No speech bubbles. Fonts (not just text colors) are used to identify people. The Hales and Argents would be in more old book style serif fonts, becuase they're both old famlies. Though Derek would have a particularly expressive font face, except in simple black.

Most of the current teenagers would have sans-serif fonts though, with the exception of Lydia and maybe Stiles. Lydia would have one of those font-faces that have slight swashes and/or lachrymal terminals, even with the rigid verticals. Stiles would have a unique font, with descenders/ascenders on letters where those would typically not be; create a certain extra form outside the lines but still uniform in that way.

Ugh, I think typography is getting to me. I'm actually assigning characters fonts (with colors) by their personality types.
