ExR week, June 9th Day 5: Alternate Setting (i.e. different timeline, different town, etc.)
When I read this theme I’ve had a flash immediately.
I decided to do a little tribute to my country and to our story: during the last years of 2nd World War, when the Allies liberated south Italy, German army and Fascist one occupied North Italy. So, some groups antifascist, went down in history called partisans, formed the Italian resistence: they were scattered groups of ribels that fight against fascist dictatorship and Nazism under the guidance of some committees of national liberation, even some groups were born spontaneously when first German occupied some North’s regions.
So, with a bit of nationalist proud, today I give you an alternative version of Drink with me. Usually I’m not proud of my people (sorry: citizens), ‘cause I know that there are a lot of things in Italy that don’t work and our politicians probably are the worst of Europe; but I’m really, really proud of our history, ‘cause there was a time that we fight for our liberty!
