emo, goth, punk etc as identities have been watered down and commodified pretty much entirely by massive corporations. these corporations stand for the exact values that emo, goth and punk etc. as subcultures are opposed to. 

i guess i’m saying: don’t buy ‘alternative clothing’ from shein, or amazon, or h&m, etc. etc.. this is old news but idk it seems some ppl need reminding
