A burst of discordant rattled the waylay, not entirely unlike a scream, but so much more filling the gaps between what a normal human could make as he tumbled to the ground, hitting the chandelier on the way down and flopping onto the ground with a thud.

"The loud sounds are frightening, and I scurry behind a chair, using it as a barrier to hide me from the... powerful being that's crashed in front of me. But... he doesn't look as powerful as the Manager... and The Manager is really nice... so he might be too... And the fall looked like it could have really hurt. Papa always told me my job is to help people!*
