Another day in December in shorts and short sleeves! Often (almost every time) I run by myself, I am entranced, not necessarily by the environment, but by the movement. I am submerged in introspection and only peripherally aware of anything. Curbs, gravel, roots, rocks, cars - things that might hurt me or impede my forward progress. Also, when I don’t wear my glasses, I struggle discerning faces as I pass them by. If somebody yells my name, or otherwise gets my attention, I smile or say, “hey, y’all!”, not being certain if you’re actually said anything to me. With that background information, I apologize to the person in the black SUV, who came up behind me at the end of my run and screamed “yeeehaw” so loud that I nearly peed myself. I don’t normally yell “holy fuck!” when I’m running unless I know who you are. #KeepMovingForward #CussingAndRunning #PandemicRunClub #JumpyAtDusk #AltraParadigm #BoneheadRunning #BoneheadCoaching (at Montreat, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIeXoJIhAV7/?igshid=ul78u0fu1czk
