Triple scoop!🍒💘
Have you ever dreamt of the same fantasy?
Obsessed with the Arkos/Zira/Altus thing Centuria manga has going on. I wish people would talk more about it instead of the evil yuri...
The despicable prince that only likes one girl? But he's not your typical ~he's cold bc he's afraid to love~ character, no Arkos is actually truly a disgusting human being, genocidal overpowered killer, but he actually enjoys being with Zira and only opens up to her
And Zira is not your typical ~I will change him, I know there's good in him~ nah she loves his destructive side and idolizes him as a god for taking away her pain BUT at the same time is the only person that treats Arkos as a normal guy instead of an inhumanely powerful prince, even being allowed to criticize him, like calling him too skinny when they're in bed
AND THEN (spoilers)
...
Arkos dies and a necromancer brings him back but it's only his body and face, the person inside, Altus, is a completely new human being? And Zira has to take care of this new guy that everyone hates because all they see is the evil prince she loved? But this new human, who looks exactly like the man she loved, is a kind soul, exactly the type she might need to heal? To forgive herself for the sins of the past she and Arkos committed? And maybe they can grow together and do some good instead?
BUT THEN
Arkos keeps lingering inside that body... Probably even watching everything through Altus' eyes he just can't speak or do anything except for 30 seconds a day where he can take control of the body
Delicious, finally some good fucking food. I can't wait for this manga to get an anime I need more content.
St. Mary’s (Our Lady of Perpetual Help) Catholic Church in Altus
More photos from our casual May pilgrimage to this pretty, rural Marian church. We were delighted to stumble upon the Infant of Prague guarding the front sidewalk and tons of musk thistle on the wild land adjacent to the church. I will admit to stealing one as a souvenir. They were growing in a wild, non-maintained area and are aggressively invasive. Late last year I began a relationship with vulture (who I see as a creature of renewal and cleansing) and was amazed to find a clump of his (her? 😊 see below) feathers fallen at the base of the more rustic statue of Mary; after that we saw several swooping right above us for long moments as we explored the grounds. We very much want to go back for a mass on a day when we have a dog sitter; I would love to see what is supposed to be a beautiful interior (I have been avoiding looking at pictures before I see it in person).
And I just read this: “In medieval bestiaries, the vulture was often used as a symbol for the Virgin Mary, stemming from an ancient belief that all vultures were female and conceived without a male (parthenogenesis). This belief made them a symbolic reflection of the virgin birth of Jesus.”
