2014 Coat of Arms w/ SELEUSS Floral Collection: Wild Lavender Honey Truffle
The "Coat of Arms" is our flagship Bordeaux-style red blend that captures the essence of the very best that the vintage has to offer.
2014 was a second consecutive warm vintage for Washington, with many growers reporting that it was their warmest year on record. Under these warmer conditions, the Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon from Rattlesnake Hills that went into our 2014 "Coat of Arms" thrived beautifully, which is reflected in this blend.
This Carménère-dominant blend exhibits dark stone fruits, black and green peppers, slate, cherries, and plums, with hints of crushed violets, spice, leather, and forest floor. On entry, the dark stone fruits are rich and tightly focused, but gradually transform into a smooth sensation of raspberries, roses, leather, dried fruit, and bittersweet chocolate. We are sure that you will find this great to enjoy now and to lay down for many years to come.
Wild Lavender Honey Truffle:
We start by simmering French Lavender in fresh organic cream, then filtering out the lavender to make our own Lavender Cream! This cream is then combined with Wild Lavender Honey from Spain and a specially formulated 53.69%+ fine medium dark chocolate to create the lavender honey ganache. This ganache is then covered in two layers of dark chocolate (52% & 73.73%+ SELEUSS-SATIN) and topped with Northwest Lavender Flowers (Market Lavender).
