my dear taylor, thank you for bringing to light this issue of men in the music industry thinking they get to take a woman’s autonomy over her own craft away from her. thank you for standing up for yourself, for sharing your story so unapologetically, for calling out names, for labeling these people for exactly what they are: lying, manipulative monsters. i’m sorry you have to go through this, i’m sorry you had to write this letter out at all. but thank you for saying it. it empowers us to stand up when men treat us wrong, too. i’m sorry. thank you. i love you. @taylorswift
