taylor, in creating and performing the eras tour you treated every past version of yourself with the utmost kindness and generosity, lovingly paying homage to all the women you were before and embracing all the whimsy, drama, fearlessness, brokenness, and joy that has been your career. you embraced how messy, wild, and fun girlhood is. and in this journey, in this open expression of deep compassion for every scar and every wound and every mountain that’s brought you here, you healed something in all the young women who flocked to your tour. in watching you relive all the brightest and boldest, darkest and coldest moments of womanhood, i learned to love every past version of myself, too. i learned to talk to the little girl in me with softness. i learned to leave flowers for every woman i was before. i learned to embrace the complexity of the female experience. that’s a gift i’ll never be able to repay. i’m endlessly grateful for you and for the magic you made. thank you, thank you, thank you for the eras tour.
