To the locals, PaRappa Town was not just some ordinary town in the Rodney State — it was more than that, and this was all because of a 3-year long story which had helped shape PaRappa Town’s history… )

PaRappa, having won a lifetime supply of noodles, sets out on a quest to become mature, encountering new teachers along the way and fighting against the mysterious Noodle Syndicate, who are planning to take over the world. Will PaRappa be able to grow up and finally impress Sunny?

FINDING: VOCALOID SONG WAS ORIGINALLY A PARAPPA 2 SONG?! (NON-NOODLE DOMINATION AU, ALWAYS LOVE REWRITE RELATED)

Hello, my name is Aisha and I come from the good timeline where there was a PTR 5th anniversary edition of PTR2 that was released and there was no bad ending recall or whatever.

So I was listening to this song called “8月の花嫁 (August Bride)” by OSTER project featuring Hatsune Miku the other day, and I noticed something… peculiar about the track.

After further research, I had discovered that this was a redone/recreated version of a song that was included with a PTR2 drama CD that was released in Japan in December 2002 called “August Miracle”.

Now, the song itself is lost media, but from what I’ve been able to find, this song was originally sung in English by the VA’s of the characters and had a different instrumental, slightly different lyrics, the Japanese translated title “8月の奇跡” and singable Japanese-translated lyrics done by Ryu Watabe, the main lyricist for the series.

Almost 6 years later in August 2008, a Vocaloid producer by the name of OSTER project (she/her) released a recreation/rewrite of the song that you can still listen to today.

If anyone can send me a playlist or whatever containing the song (via old uploads or whatever) on YT, Niconico or whatever video sharing site you can come across, please let me know.

PTR2 drama CD scan I found online

This is a scan of the back of the booklet that comes with the PTR2 epilogue drama CD that was released in December 2002 in Japan. In other territories, the audio of the CD (along with downloadable versions of the contents within the CD’s booklet) was released on the international PaRappa 2 website.

This CD contains four songs which appear alongside the audio drama: Always Love! (found media, in-game), PaRappa’s Encore Rap/クラブパーティー・ラップ ENCORE (found media, in-game), Our PaRappa Town (found media, CD-exclusive; a vocal version of the track that is used in the end credits of the true ending which is included in the PaRappa 5th anniversary edition of the game), August Miracle (lost media; OSTER project made a rewritten and recreated version of the song known as “8月の花嫁”, and is still available online, but not the original PTR2 version).
