I think desmond’s identity really relies on the people around him. He’s a leader, a representative. He speaks for the crowd and the crowd speaks for him. It may just be a skill issue from me but I can never draw Desmond as a standalone character. Because he was never meant to standalone. He lives with the crowd and the crowd accepts him in with open arms. Isolation is probably such a weird thing for Desmond. It’s just him and the Void. The Void and he. How lonely.
