We came into the living room to watch TV to distract us from the apocalypse of fireworks in our neighborhood. The Macy's July 4th show is on when I turn on the TV and they're singing The Marine Corp Hymn. Rocky immediately sat down and faced the TV and waited until they were done before he laid down. The Countdown

Being a substitute, getting the kids to remain seated quietly is a big challenge. Today, I resorted to a tool my drill instructors used, the countdown. And it worked.

Removal

Gabe and Leandros showed up a short time later to remove the leg for Jamie. Gabe was in his usual one piece, Leandros still in this bone white Apothecary armor. 

"Jamie? Where are you?"

[txt] Very well thank you. Leandros says that will be normal until you get used to having the limb again. It was the lightest material we had on hand.

Leandros finished working on Jamie's leg hours later. He had been successful, removing a few layers of skin from where her leg ended and attaching the nerve endings, while keeping the blood flow from entering the leg, and bonding bone to metal.

The leg itself was made of the same metal his armor was, a combination ceramics and metals treated in the atmosphere of Jupiter. A tank could run over it, and the leg would still work. He left her there to sleep off the rest of the knock out drug.
