Cosplay is not consent. Now louder for the people in the back: COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT. I don't care if you are a cosplayer, model, photographer, staff, volunteer, or attendee. You have no right to grope/touch/fondle someone without their consent. I don't care if you are a man or woman. Assault and harrasment go both ways. Neither gender is immune. I've known male friends whom been assaulted by women before. I've known female friends assaulted by other women before. I've been harassed and assaulted and this crap needs to stop. When someone has repeatedly been hurting the community and assaulting people over and over, there's a clear pattern and no excuse or apology can fix that. You've violated someone and their personal space. I urge anyone who's been a victim of an assault or has evidence to always seek the proper channels of reporting it to the authorities and make a report/case. We are so much better than this. Conventions make it their responsibility to enforce #cosplayisnotconsent for THIS VERY BEHAVIOR, and I applaud those cons for making our places of gathering a safer environment for us to celebrate our fandoms.Everyone else: Be the change you want to see. If you see something, say something. Report it. #advocate #cospositive #alwaysask #dontbeaperv
