Plot: Owning your own business is hard enough; having to deal with your annoying neighboring business owner is even worse. Baker!Emma does she can to put up with the local florist, Killian Jones, though as time goes on, she finds out there are more than just flowers in the garden of life. 

Overview: There are three types of AU!Killian’s that I adore. Lieutenant!Killian, Priest!Killian, and Florist!Killian. In this lovely fic (that I finished in one sitting) I was about to get the final version, and let me tell you, this story is not worth missing. Simple and stable, it’s a magical tale of a world without magic, with people with average problems just trying to get by. Also, lots and lots of sex.

Things I liked: Both Emma and Killian are very well written. The author doesn’t allow Emma to beat around the bush with anything. If she is angry, she shows it. If she is happy, she expresses it. And if she wants to make out with the local florist, then she will do so. Killian is the dashing troublemaker, like always. Mature, yet playful. Reminds me a lot of Neverland/pre-pirate Killian. Also, there is a small moment of Killian/Milah, and I like the way it was handled. Very in and out without being pointless.

The author also uses some almost-forgotten characters, such as Ruby, August, and Anna. All of which are fantastically well written

What I disliked: There wasn’t much of this that I found to be disappointing. There was a small moment with grammar/spelling mistakes. I think it was only like two, but they were so minimal, I shouldn’t really count those. 

Final words: Each chapter title is a different type of flower, and in the chapter, Emma learns what the flower means. Very interesting and the author uses that as a plot point as the chapters go on. It’s a Captain Swan centered story, full of fun sexitimes that aren’t worth missing. So check it out if you can!

CAPTAIN SWAN FANFIC REVIEW ↪More Than A Memory

Status: 27 chapters + epilogue 

Plot: Memories are strong. But they are also fragile. They are the things we cling to and also the easiest thing to lose. Sometimes you forget. Other times, they’re taken from you. Sometimes bits and pieces. Others, a whole life time.

Overview: Oh, how I adore this story. I have been here since maybe … the 4th chapter on? And I rarely ever follow an unfinished story, simply because most of them end up never being finished, but this one. Oh, I don’t even know where to begin. 

Things I liked: Every single thing about this story is perfect. The flashbacks are fantastic, allowing great insight to the characters and how their relationships developed. It goes back and forth between showing them now and how they are dealing with the devastation of the accident. 

All the characters are amazing. David and Mary Margaret are wonderful, like always. Killian and Emma are so beautiful. Their love story is one for the ages and all the side characters, like Ruby and Victor are fantastic. 

However, the real show stealer is Liam. Dear God, this child is fantastic. Most of the time, if a child is involved, they are in the way or ruin the plot. However, this boy is so precious that I just wanted to keep reading about him.

What I disliked: Nothing. Honestly, I couldn’t come up with anything. It’s too good? The characters are too fantastic? The Jones family is too loving?

Final words: It went on a lot longer than I expected, but that is not a bad thing at all. The epilogue is still waiting to be posted, however, it’s pretty much over now. Happy ending and all. 

There is also a slight continuation between Killian and Liam, which can be found here: Son of a Sailor. If anybody has read this author (and I have many times) you should expect the same great writing, same loving tale, and awesome sexy scenes that come with her work.
