I think I remember you saying these were for Alyaa and Opa so that's who I'm going with. If I got it wrong just poke me and I'll re-do it! 16: What are they NOT afraid of? Opa: Bugs/spiders/general creepy crawlies. I don't think he'd be scared by most horror movies - but he doesn't like them. Thinks there's *much* better things to do with his time. He also doesn't have much of a startle response! Alyaa: Snakes - she can do snakes, but not bugs and creepy crawlies! She's not much scared of the dark In the future, she isn't scared of the Board of her company. Um......She still does have a LOT of fears though.
18: What are they terrified to lose? For both Alyaa and Opa, it's family and loved ones. Opa lost his daughter when she ran away with her husband and it broke his heart. He was terrified of losing Alyaa. And now Alyaa is scared to lose her sphere and husband and kids!
29: What do they consider to be their greatest strength? Is this actually their greatest strength, or is there something about themselves they don’t see?
Opa: Oooooo, this is a good question for him because I really don't know enough about him to know!! I think he'd say something like his courage and love. Honestly his biggest strength is his dedication to his word and his love for his family/friends! Alyaa: She'd say her money or her computer abilities. Basically what she can physically give to people. But her greatest strengths are her love and caring nature!

The handcuffs keeping Ethan shackled to the table he sits at clink as he leans back.
"Now that's a question. Would I have taken anyone else in." Hes quiet for a minute. "I dont think I would have. Nightbird....she's something special. I could just see it the first time I saw her. Too special for the Programme. Too special for anyone else. They would have ruined her. I kept her safe. Safe and admired. just like she should be."
"No. she's like...like the Mona Lisa. Did you know they keep her behind locked glass? people can look, but not touch. Just like my Nightbird. She's special." He grins, "One day, I'll get out of here and I'll remind her of that. Remind her how special she is. How she's mine. Just her."

Hed been angry lately. So angry. Slamming doors and throwing beer bottles and no food and bruising, bruising, bruising angry. A shipment hadn't gone well.
Happy. she...your words ring in her ears, through her head. She should make him happy. she should. she could. maybe.. maybe then she'd be able to eat. She'd be able to- to not be in pain for a little while.
And so she gets started. He's out for the day. won't ve back until that evening. she spends most of it making his favourite meal. it takes her hours - hours she spends ignoring the cavern that her middle has become. hours spent leaning against the counter trying to get her vision to return. hours spent drinking.. .drinkjng...drinking, hoping the water will help.
It doesn't.
An hour until he's home. She goes into her room and pulls out one of his favourite outfits. spends time putting it on. She lotions her skin, makes it soft. slips the outfit on. adjusts it just so.
30 minutes.
Make-up. Accentuating her gauntness, her eyes, the bruises he's given her. she's his after all.
10 minutes.
her hair is swept up - pinned to look nice but so it won't fall if - when- he grabs it. Two tails on either side of her face. he likes brushing them aside.
the necklace - collar - is last. she clips it on tight. tight. tight. just like he likes it.
5 minutes.
she pulls the food from the oven - arranges it just so on the table. One place setting.
1 minute.
She kneels in the entry way. fixes her clothes one last time.
the door clicks open.
"Nightbird."
He is happy with his possession.
Alyaa. Now you're all settled and you have David and the kids. Callum and Rory. Brenda and Tony. Karim. Now you have all of that, if Dale ever got in touch and wanted to meet up to talk to you about Ethan and everything that happened... would you say yes?
*Alyaa immediately stiffens up and her hand moves to her wrist. But Karim nudges it away, and instead Alyaa starts petting her* I...I might. *she whispers* I...I might. Just....just to - if he - if he...wanted...wanted me I'd...it's better that I...I go and...and then no one - no one else will be hurt. *Her eyes close and tears slip down her cheeks* I - I couldn't - couldn't do that again.
Truth serum time Alyaa! Honestly though, when you were with Ethan, and Rory and Callum were in the basement, did you find them really annoying? How Rory kept winding Ethan up and how Callum kept on asking you if Rory was OK?
*She wraps her arms around herself where she's scrunched between the wall and the couch of Brenda's living room* N-no. No I - I never thought that. Never. They weren't...aren't - annoying. Ever. I - I just wanted them safe. That's all I wanted. I just - I just wanted them safe. They should have been safe.
