Hey, I'm easily distracted and no matter what I do i just can't focus. The longest study I've ever had is probably 7 minutes. I just find myself doing another things and I don't even notice that I'm distracted, I'm always out of focus. And since I'm in college and I gotta do a lot of memorizing it's really a big problem for me but I'm not quite sure if i have ADHD or not. It sounds like it. What do you think? Or what would you suggest?
Hey,
As a student in my 4th (and unfortunately not final) year of college… College is hard.
I think none of us here are licensed to diagnose you, especially over the internet. However, there’s lots of great resources here that might help you. Please see these tags!

Here are some tips for memorizing. The only thing I would absolutely not recommend is staring at a book for hours. Find a YouTube video. Jump rope as you recite things. Assign the things you need to memorize to foods and make different sandwich combinations. Draw colorful pictures with the words. Make memorization stimulating!

What the others said. In particular there is a lot more than just trouble with paying attention that is part of ADHD. Check out the diagnostic criteria and this post about executive dysfunction. You may just be short on sleep, you might have a different disorder altogether, or you might have ADHD. Whatever's going on here, it's best to find ways to deal with the problems you're having and possibly look into getting assessed.

london is literally perfect
i felt like home there and i mean really at home it was like going back home instead of visiting a completely new place and i didn't feel the cultural shock that i'm supposed to experience because that place is full of literally all kinds of people, it was the most normal thing that could have happened, and londoners are so so nice and even tho some of them don't know where their own places for sightseeing are, they're so helpful and nice and don't get angry at you when you ask them ridiculous questions and they're all so smiley and cute and funny and sometimes super weird and i love them all so much (yesterday i saw a bunch of people dressed up as popular characters like the joker and the terminator and some others and they just went around and took pics with people and tried to scare them and one of them (he looked like a cracken but idk what exactly he was) told me i was beautiful and i told him he was too because he had really nice tentacles lmao)
by perfect i mean really /really/ perfect
i usually hate bustling streets and lots of noise and people bumping into you because there's no place for them to walk but i didn't mind it i even enjoyed it and i wasn't scared of all the people and it was always me 'leading' the group into the crowds because the others were too slow to walk and
perfect
THE PREMIERE
i saw a fucking marvel premiere in london
we saw the things being built up there and when we went to the place after we took our tickets it was so full of people and we couldn't get anywhere near the fences and therefore couldn't see the actors or what was happening at all but it was so full of people and everyone was a fan of marvel and it was so beautiful almost like an arctic monkeys concert (although i didn't really feel at place there because i'm not a fan of guardians of the galaxy but still)
I SAW KAREN GILLAN on the big screen BUT SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND NICE AND KJFD KAREN GILLAN!!!!!!!!!!
we also saw dave batista and chris pratt and they almost reached our line but then they had to go back ~of course~
after the film we saw joss whedon ohmyg do i just saw it was him and i'm so angry at myself because he was standing 2 feet from me!!!!!!!!!1 we also saw a guy with long gray hair and beard and he was kinda short and ohmy god these middle-aged men were shouting like crazy fangirls at him and he got so angry at them and left very fast and i was so so disgusted by them because seriously?? they're not teenage one direction fangirls why the fuck did they have to scare away all the actors and other parts of the crew kjfd idiots
I SAW CHRIS HEMSWORTH TOO HE WAS STANDING 5 FEET FROM ME AND I FUCKING SAW HIM AND I WAS GONNA CRY AND I COULDNT BELIEVE IT AND NO I DONT HAVE A PICTURE OF HIM BECAUSE HE LEFT REALLY FUCKING FAST BUT I SAW CHRIS HEMSWORTH
the cinema was really weird and not properly seated because we were all almost at the same height so i couldn't see the right half of the screen because of the guy sitting in front of me but the film itself was really nice, it made me cry and laugh although it was kinda banal but kjfdhfdkjf gROOT!!!! if you watch the film be prepared to love and cry for groot A LOT esp at the end of the film lmao i cried like a fucking baby it was crazy (oh and there's no scene after the credits just so you know)
jfc we had crisps and water on our seats it was amazing because i felt like i was gonna faint because of all the people and pressure and heat and emotions and i didn't know if i could bring in any water so i hadn't bought any water and kj if london's cinemas are all like this not just at premieres i think i might wanna live in a cinema
after the film we went out and we stood behind the fence and saw chris and joss and the gray-haired guy and then we went to piccadily circus and blah blah it was amazing and there were annoying black guys trying to offer us stamps for clubs and wth why did they think we'd fall in for this
night life!!!
it was so full of people that night and after piccadily circus we went back to leicester square trying to find something to eat and then 2 guys stopped us, one was white and called michael and the other was black and idk what he was called, he talked to my friend (who said he was really annoying and blah blah but she's not ok) so i talked to this michael and it was really nice because he was from holland and he had been to london last year for an erasmus thing and we talked about things and he said i was awkward lmao not the first person to tell me this anyway it was nice but they wanted to find a place to go and we didn't know any places so after a couple of minutes we parted and just a minute later some other guy stopped us and he was really fucking creepy and kept going in my personal space and i wanted to punch him and he asked me stupid questions and he even said he was a wingman for his friend who was from khazahstan what the fuck and it was really creepy and i kept saying we were in a hurry and he almost wouldn't let us go but we managed to get away eventually
the next night we went to leicester square at like 12.30 am and jfc it was /full/ of drunk people and i mean really fucking drunk i mean some girl was lying on the ground, other people could barely walk and ??? here people /start/ dinking at this time and they don't get deadly drunk until the morning jfc
we ate fish 'n chips and i drank beer and ahh it was really really nice although we had to take some of our meal in a box and i had to finish my beer really fast because the restaurant was closing so i was a tiny bit dizzy after that, and we went to trafalgar square and then back to the hotel
but before that we were to tower bridge and just as my friend and i were waiting for the other guy and his mum some two guys stopped and asked us if we wanted weed and actually showed us the pack of weed and said we could get it for free if we wanted and ????? what the fuck srsly
sightseeing woooo
we saw a great fucking lot of things and we'd walk all day almost without stopping and our legs were dead at the end of the day but we saw the mummies in the british museum and things in the natural history museum and in the national gallery too and we went to victoria and albert museum and ahhh we went to harrods too!! and i bought english breakfast tea from there although i wanted to buy the whole chocolates and tea section tbh
big ben is real!!!!!!!!! and fucking enormous jfc it was so so beautiful and we heard its bells three times yay! we were in the park with the ducks and squirrels and ohmy god we saw a duck with its two ducklings and they were so friggin adorable and we saw a couple of swans too and jkdfskjds we saw squirrels twice and i took such nice pics!!! these animals were so amazing like they didn't fear people /at all/ and it was so nice to see how peaceful they were and not like here where every animal tries to run away as far as possible from people and the park was so sos o beautiful and ahhhh
i have no idea what else we saw, tower bridge was rad as heck, we saw it at night, and we saw the great big tall modern building and also the gh- something - the blue building that looks like an egg and which i can never remember what is called - we saw buckingham and westminster and green park and idk that's it pretty much i think??
we rode on the tube!!!!!!1 it was so perfet ohmy god the 1st one we rode on was from holborn because it was the station nearest to us and it was so weird bc the station was small and the tube itself was small and everything was small but then for tower bridge we took the tube from westminster and i kid you not i had dreamt of this station like 2 years ago and jfc the seats are so comfortable?? ours are terrible and london's tube even has things to put your arms on jfc wow
we also rode on a double-decker 8') on the 2nd floor right at the front and it was crazy because the driver actually drove like the guy from the knight bus and i almost fell down the stairs and i have a bruise on my leg lmao it was amazing
nice shops ah
fiona had told me to find rough trade record store but it was very far for us to go in 3 days but just as we were walking back from leicester square on our first day i saw the submarine book for 3 pounds and i immediately went in the store and then i stood in awe from a couple of seconds because i realised it was an actual record store full of beautiful records!!! so i took the book and then started searching for humbug and bad blood and i found them and ! i bought those 3 and i really wanted to buy turn blue and contra and the 3 hunger games books too but i was worried i would be left with no money and i wasn't sure if i needed these so i thought we'd go back there on our last day but well we didn't
BUT I FINALLY HAVE ALL ARCTIC MONKEYS ALBUMS AND ONE BASTILLE ALBUM HOW PERFECT IS THIS
on our last day i saw this store where they had some posters of doctor who and after the others bought souveniers we went there and it turned out it was forbidden planet!!!!!!!! which i think jordan told me to see but i didn't want to bc i thought it was just comics and things i'm not particularly interested in but ohmy god. sherlock doctor who. harry potter. marvel. FRIGGIN HEAVEN OKAY. so i bought 3 breaking bad badges, one doctor who one, a sherlock poster (which i had to bend in two in order to fit in my luggage and now it was white marks on john :((((( ) a slytherin thing for cards and i didn't buy anything marvel related but only because it was mostly about the comics and since i'm not interested in the comics it didn't feel right to buy something but kdjhf if i had enough money i could've bought off half of the store
the crush
so apart from me there was another winner of the competition and it was this guy called antonio who in facebook looked like a bit of a prat but then when we were in the plane they had somehow found us by chance i mean he and his mum were sitting right behind us and some time after we took off he said hi and it was so weird because we kept finding each other during these 3 days even tho we went to all these enormous museums where you wouldn't think you would find your friend unless you wait for them outside but ah. we were meant to meet.
anyway. i watched him sleep in the plane (well doesn't that sound creepy) and he was so adorable ohmy god and when we went to the hotel he was really nice because he always /always/ opened the doors for us and tbh this is the first guy i see doing this all the time. and he wears such nice clothes jfc and yesterday morning he was all in beige and he had some leather something on his neck and kjdskl beautiful.
anyway. i realised i liked him on our 2nd day and i told my friend when we came back in the hotel at like 3 am and then on the next day i couldn't say a word to him because the second i realise i like someone i can't talk to them but still - he's the first crush i have that i have talked to and will talk to and we'll probably go out some day because he kept talking about having to drag me to a disco but. well. he won't have to drag me there tbh. i'll be the one to ask him. probably. i hope. I DONT KNOW. im confused and sad and i want to know how to make people like me because i don't know if he likes me or if he think i'm annoying oR WHAT.
but when we were out the 2nd night one of these black guys offering 'free' stamps for clubs told me he liked me and i can't stop thinking abt this lmao although he probably did it just to make me accept his offer but still i hope i fucking hope
he's so beautiful
so that's basically everything interesting in its short version and ah should i mention that i cried for 20 mins after the plane started taking off and heading back to bulgaria. i had to listen to bastille to calm myself down and remind myself i have one other thing to be excited for this year and just then i can succumb to my sorrow
i love london and just the thought of the possibility of me never seing it again makes me want to die - for real - because as much as it might sound annoying, london is perfect and i felt more at home there than i do in my own home town
