What do you do when you're tired of the stories that built you? My past is too heavy, it's weighing on my soul.

“I want a blaze of light to flame in me forever in a timeless, dear love of everything. And why should I pretend to want anything else?”

Thank you, thank you. :)
When you get a really awesome gift for your boyfriend but then he winds up not being your boyfriend anymore...so then you essentially just got yourself a really awesome gift. A+ Alyssa!
Psalm 147 says that God counts all the stars in the sky and calls them by name. How amazing is it that the same God who knows over 100 octillion stars by name knows ME?! He knows my name, He knows my heart, He knows my weaknesses and strengths, He knows how many freckles are on my face, He knows His plan for my life. The God who put every one of those stars in the sky breathed life into me and put blood in my veins. The same God who called the land and sea into existence calls me to live a purposeful life, and He calls me DAUGHTER. He loves me so deeply He sacrificed His only son so I would never have to be separated from Him. He is my comfort, my calm, my peace, and my quiet place. He is my fire, my drive, my fierceness, the roaring lion within me. He quiets my fears, and fuels my faith. He encourages, He uplifts, and He holds. Regardless of how many times I fall, run from Him, ignore His voice, or break His heart, He still loves me and welcomes me home. His grace is unending, and His love unconditional. My God, I am so overwhelmed…you have changed my life in every good way, even though it’s a constant challenge and it hurts sometimes. How could I ever go back? How could I ever crawl back into my dead life when you have risen me up? How could I ever deny the undeniable? Thank you for all you’ve done, thank you for all you continue to do. Thank you for my salvation, thank you for doing the one thing I couldn’t do for myself. Thank you for saving my life God, it is yours, I am yours.

In this season of my life I have decided to spend more time than ever with God and allow Him to gospel my heart. I am giving over all control, desire, and want. I want to listen intently so that I can live purposefully. I want him to prepare me to do the hard and holy things, to use me as a vessel for his love and light. I am imperfect, and I stumble every day. I fall back into old patterns, and I go back to being a person I don't want to be. I allow myself to give in and sin the same sins he has forgiven me for. Every day I cheapen His sacrifice, and it breaks my heart. This season will be one of change, one of focus, one of devotion and relationship with my Heavenly Father. He died for me, so I will live for Him. God teach my heart to love others the way you love me, make me bold and courageous, instill in me a kingdom heart and a warrior soul. Help me live the life you have intended for me as a woman of God, as your daughter with royal blood in her veins.
