What's your diss focus? I saw your soft launch for ch 3 had to do with Phillis Wheatley.
My dissertation explores the appropriation/use of Early Modern English literary and racial tropes (roughly 1500 to 1700) in the 18th century Black Atlantic. I’m interested in finding out if 18th century replication Early Modern racialization and early modern racial ideology (loosely conceived), can reorient the way we think about the American Revolution and potentially demythologize the US founding narrative.
