What are some chapters your like excited to write/get to for the koby vampire AU?

All the interactions between Koby and the rest of the strawhats scenes, to be honest. Writing then is something that's so personal to me as someone with a big, complicated family, so I'm really excited to share this with you guys!

I'm really excited to write the misconceptions that humans have about vampires and vice versa. Sanji making all of Koby's food without garlic in it, and the strawhats always checking if something has garlic in it religiously until Koby is like: "Guys??? I can eat garlic???" or he eats something that obviously has garlic in it... cries I love protective crewmates.

Koby thinking that humans can heal quickly bc of Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy's weird genes, and doesn't get that fixed until nami or usopp get injured or chopper tells him abt it...."Wdym u have to wait a week for a stab wound to heal???" "???" "...Koby, it takes longer than that. Some stab wounds take months to heal-" "MONTHS???"

The strawhats getting on Koby for liking Luffy but in a concerned "listen we love luffy. but are you sure you don't want a...cleaner... man?" except for zoro, who doesn't understand hygiene.

Koby getting special privileges bc Luffy likes him back. Luffy shares meat with him ONCE in front of the crew and chaos happens. Usopp and Franky cry bc they think their captain is dying, Chopper is rushing Luffy to the med bay, robin is unsurprised and amused, Sanji slips and drops whatever he's holding, Zoro chokes on his food and nami has to Heimlich maneuver him bc everyone else is useless or occupied with other things... yeah. Idk what Brooks gonna be doing, I have to study him more.

Technically these are scenes, and not chapters, but I'm really just excited for the fun, wholesome arcs. I can't wait to write about skypeia!

What other aus will you work on once the vampire Koby is over? I’d love to see more of your work honestly I love how you write him!!

Sorry for the late answer!! I was busy with both homework and helping my dad do electrical repairs I didn't understand. I also got my AC fixed, so it was a very productive three days, at least!

Onto the question: there are probably going to be more Koby works, especially once I watch the live action. I don't think they'll ever be as large-scale, but I'm sure I'll make them super long anyway. Mishanks is also one of my favs though, so you'll see more of those too as well.

As for the AUs--I've been rolling some around in my brain, and so far I have 3 (mostly) fleshed out:

-Medieval. Technically I'm already working on it, but the gist is basically that Luffy is a prince and Koby is a blacksmith: On a whim, Luffy asks Koby to make his "royal amulet" which are used in coronations and promotions as a sort of gift separate from the crown (and are never taken off, if the royal decides to wear it), and over the year they interact while the amulet progresses, they fall in love with one another. I won't do the whole year: But it'll be 13 chapters, each a moment within the year that "encapsulates" or represents the entire month, with the last chapter being the actual confession.

-Soul reaper AU where Koby is the reaper for Nika (kind of not luffy but I'll explain that) and kills whoever poses a threat to his god, or whoever his god wants dead (which never happens). Eventually, Nika is sentenced for falling in love with a soul reaper, and is put through a trial which lasts 100 years. Koby doesn't know this, believing his god is dead, and is forced into a new role: Killing sinners without instruction, and he must kill 10,000 of them by the end of the 100 years. He is told this will "absolve him of his own sin". Idk how I want it to end yet, to be honest. Let me know!

-Undead AU: Ok so. Listen to me. LISTEN TO ME. Corpse bride au but Luffy is a ghost and Koby falls in love with him despite his human bride and then he dies so they can be together.... ough.

And then I have crossovers:

-Detroit become human

-Spiderman

-Omori (Koby won't be the MC this time, but he'll be relevant)

-Pokemon

I’m not sure if this has been asked before but since Koby’s a vampire he has vamp related abilities right? What are they :0

(In a southern voice) You have no idea what you've unleashed, partner. (Brief update before I get into this: By Sunday, you guys should have at least 2 new chapters of Amaranth + the first chapter of my Kobylu Medieval Au!)

Okay. So. I consume a lot of vampire media (not twilight. yet. my friends are trying to get me to read it.), so there's a mix of traits that I'm cherry picking from them!

Koby has my favorite trait of Dracula's: Iridescent eyes (meaning that, depending on the light, Koby's eyes will shift from brown to red)!

Next, there are some typical ones: Heightened senses (smell, taste, touch, and hearing), physical abilities greater than the average human, functioning on a small amount of sleep/rest, healing abilities, etc.

I'm thinking of him unlocking more once he trains during the timeskip. Like hypnosis, invisibility, etc. Let me know what interests you the most!

Not part of the ask but I wanted to include some more vampire lore/weaknesses:

-Silver. Bullets, blades, etc-- unless it's a lethal injury, wounds caused by silver weapons will eventually heal, but at a rate normal for humans instead of vampires. (I'm gonna have with this one!)

-Sunlight. Both the amount of sunlight and the prolonged exposure to sunlight impact the severity of the burn, which is why it ranges in the story so far.

-I briefly touched on this one in the author's notes, but I trait I find really endearing about old vampires is that they have an obsession with counting things: In old stories, you would drop a handful of seeds in front of them, and the vampire would compulsively count them, allowing you to either escape or attack the frozen vampire. I thought this was so cute, so I had to include it!

Other vampire lore:

-Koby is not going to be allergic to garlic. Garlic increases tissue blood flow, helps soften arteries, and basically makes blood easier to drink for vampires, so I could never under why they were allergic. I have a funny scene with Sanji planned out for this one.

-Crucifixes are not going to have an effect on Koby. Because I can, and also, christianity is so... vague, in one piece. I have no idea how to approach it, so I won't.

-Vampires cannot see their reflection in silver-backed mirrors. Koby can see himself in modern mirrors, because they lack a silver-backing, but since the East blue and the first few islands aren't very tech savvy, he doesn't actually know what he looks like. He can only see his reflection in windows, water, and other shiny things, which aren't very accurate.

Thanks! I'm definitely going to have to practice, though, and there are 10 strawhats to choose from, not mentioning the other funny perspectives I could choose. I'm definitely going to make law suffer when the dressrosa arc comes! Maybe Boa or Bartolomeo? If any of you have suggestions, let me know!

(writing that out, I suddenly realize how long this fic is going to be. At least I have you guys to motivate me?)
