atgeotravel Video by @renan_ozturk Ama Dablam: towering proof that the tallest mountains aren’t always the most compelling. While not even close to the highest peak in Nepal’s famous Khumbu valley, there is something about this mountain that inspires awe and silence. Something spiritual. Something about how the first light of each morning filters down onto the Tengboche Monastery. Something about how it seems to be protecting and looking over us all. Many people have climbed Ama Dablam, but I don’t know if I ever will. I prefer to leave this one as the abode of my own gods and secrets.
