Shy wrung his hands as he saw that it was once again getting late, gazing towards his door with a soft sigh. It had been a few weeks since the creature had first appeared and ever since then he had been appearing late at night and following him around. He knew that it meant no harm in doing so due to how kind and doglike its actions were but it was still worrying him that he had not found where he came from yet.

He was quite uncertain what had happened but he knew that wherever he was was quite dangerous. The crimson sky outside the window and landscape around him informed him of that. It would be best that he find the way back to the base as soon as possible. He quivered and whimpered as he watched around him, his footsteps echoing as he walked through some sort of hallway. Though he paused as he caught the scent of someone who should certainly not be there. What on earth?

Kei squeaked happily as he worked on fixing Ishi’s joints, purring softly as the robot talked with him about various things. He’d noticed that he was having trouble keeping up earlier so he wanted to help him out as much as could. Even if he didn’t know how to do certain things yet. He paused as he heard someone approaching though and pushed up his goggles with a gloved hand, gazing around him curiously. He hoped he wasn’t bothering anyone...

*Hello? I’m sorry if I’m in the way! I wanna help Ishi out...*

Shy furrowed his brow as he finished another shift at his office, winching a little less than he had been before. The pain had gone down enough that it was a minor inconvenience and he thankfully did not have terribly much to finish either. Though... He had still been feeling a little odd and he could not figure out what was causing it either. That is until he heard someone come inside and flushed as he felt a strong urge to hug whoever it was for some reason. Was this another side effect?

Kei trilled as he made his way back home from the library, his little glowing orange eyes lit up with pure excitement. They had added some new books recently and he couldn’t wait to read them and use some of the ideas with Kiki. Though he paused as he saw Diva coming down the hallway and waved as he peered over the top of the large bag of books he was holding with a squeak.

*Hello Mr. Diva!*

The aide groaned softly as he felt pain course through his thin frame, moving his papers into a corner of the desk as his body started to shift like it had quite a few times. Even with Ishida assisting him he was still not used to his condition and he whimpered as the pain became unbearable, hardly noticing that his kyoudai had entered the room.

The aide could not help but yawn and paused to gaze at the time as he wrung his hands, frowning as he saw how late it had become. Goodness... He had not expected the paperwork to take that long as it was such a small stack but he had managed it nonetheless and it would be best to leave before Diva came and searched for him. Ever since they had started dating he had been quite insistent on him taking breaks after all and with how tired and sore he was at the moment that sounded appealing. Though he swore he could hear heavy breathing nearby for some reason...

Kei soon made it back to the apartment and put his things down on the couch, looking around for his father or a note explaining where he was. He worked late a lot of the time so he’d leave a note and some food for him if that happened though he made sure he was awake when he did come back so he could tell him about his day and help his father relax. It looked like that was the case this time and he smiled as he saw the new book he’d left him too, squeaking in delight before he sat down to read it and patted the couch as the creature seemed to have followed him back.
