the mun’s interpretation☯ Is your muse liked or disliked by fandom? Does this affect your portrayal?

I think it’s pretty 50/50 from what I’ve seen. In the east he is way more liked than disliked, but over in the west a lot of people I’ve met have mixed views on him for their own reasons. It doesn’t affect my portrayal at all, though. I don’t try to make him into a more likeable character, because his unlikable qualities are important parts to his character, so I do my best to keep it intact.I do think more people should give him a chance, though. Even if they don’t like the historical person behind him, many of the characters in-game share hardly anything with their historical counterparts. Within this series, he is his own person.

✎ What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse? 

I really would love to know more about his changes in behaviour from his youth to growing up and becoming a leader. As camp dialogue suggested, he wasn’t always like what he is now, and it makes me super curious.

Hoo boy. He’s struggled a lot with his whole philosophy of putting the law and practicality over everything else. Sometimes it causes him to do things he later regrets or doesn’t really want to do, like executing his childhood friend when it could have been avoided if he’d wanted.

I've seen some wikis/posts on Ling Tong that disputed his year of death as 237 instead of 217. Any idea where that came from? ROTK? (I highly doubt it's the novel though, since he sorta...faded out?)

The Sanguo Zhi is actually to blame for this one. It erroneously lists 237 as the year of Ling Tong’s death. The events described around the time of Ling Tong’s death definitely took place in 216 and 217, and there is absolutely no mention of him at all after that year despite the many large battles in which he would have participated (Ruxu, Fan, Yiling, and the defense against Cao Pi in 222/223). He definitely died in 217.

Most likely, Chen Shou correctly recorded the year of Ling Tong’s death as 217, but an early copyist error changed in to 237, which was wrongly repeated in subsequent copies and later publications. It is most definitely an error, though.

If we’re ending OCtober, we’re going out in a bang. With my most Mary Sue of all my OCs. 

Yes, she’s a Treasure Planet OC. Yes, she’s married to Jim Hawkins. 

Pell’s the treasure planet equivalent to a Siren - Jim’s father is from the exact same species. The Sirens are libertarian fish people, and value personal freedom more than the human laws, interpersonal relationships, and the law of gravity.

And let’s just say Jim’s attracted to her for *ahem* two very big reasons.

Wrists: Have you ever broken a bone?Yes. When I was 7 years old, I fell from climbing a tree and now my left arm can bend a little further back then it should (It looks a little double jointed). I love grossing people out with it. xD

Hands: Are you an artist/writer?I write and sing songs with my sister and we have jam sessions, but we haven’t recorded anything…yet. I write unfinished spoken word poetry and poetry. My username was inspired by a poem I wrote for a girl: "To you,I’m the moon.Not a part of your world.Only a small light in the distancewho will always watch over you.But when the new moon disappears into dark.You find me alone in the darknessand your presence lights meas your words guide me back.By tomorrow, I’m a waxing crescentuntil the next cycle.”Also, I’m working on an secret (book) experiment. Only told two people what it entails. I paint, when I get the chance but I really suck at drawing.

4: Ever been told “it’s not you, it’s me”?This is the story of my life. I would say everyone I pursued in my dating life has used this excuse or the “I need to work on myself.” Which is completely fine by me until they lie. Unfortunately, one girl told me that “It’s not you, it’s me” and by the next week, she was in a relationship with someone else and that left me so torn but I managed to pick myself up. Ever since then, I’d rather be honest with people then make up excuses when I’m not interested.
