I had a friend come try out the pottery wheel and i asked him to take some pictures of my pottery mug routine!
A typical day for me goes like this:
Early baking shift at the local coffee shop JitteryJoes where I make the breads, cakes, cookies, scones and all other goodies for the shop!
Lunch break at my apartment then off to the pottery studio!
I manage the studio tasks and instruct the daily assistants with the cleaning and organizing jobs. I load the kilns, make the glazes for our cone 6 firings and reclaim clay to keep the studio running smoothly and efficiently.
But the days where I set aside time to make my own pottery are the most enjoyable! I create every mug on the pottery wheel and carve each one by hand. I don’t use any stamps or stencils!
