It is very expensive tbh. But it’s so worth it. I do understand thougggh! I ha to scrape together to be able t o addord my ticket and pay towardss Gs ticket. I get it, honestly.
maybe next year, I dunno. I've been scraping together to try to get ready to pay off my college loans when I come off of my deferment/income-based repayment plan (bear in mind that i was in togo for 9 months with no source of income whatsoever and then without a job for 6 months after that, so I've been steadily accruing interest that I try but invariably fail to pay off before it all gets accumulated into the total (can't remember the term) now, but wasn't able to even think about paying off while I was without a job for 15 months)
but if i can pay a little extra than i actually owe every month when that rolls around in... october? and if the insurance with work (I don't even have the info yet) is good, I might be able to pay for it when ticket sales roll around next year

frankly, i'm such a recluse idk if it's really worth it

air fare would vary based on 1) layovers vs. direct flight, 2) date of purchase, and 3) day of flight. Anywhere between... $700 and $1400, I think? The tickets themselves are over $400, and I have NO idea what the special rate at the hotel is, but if I stayed at that one (or any other in the area) it'd be over $100 a night.
and just to be clear, minimum wage here is $7.50/hour. I make $8.50 and might bring in $1600 monthly during peak season at the canal if I work every single day between my two jobs.
and I have college loans to pay off and still owe my dad for my car. OH. and I come off my parents' insurance soon!
don't get me wrong, I make it. but being a member of the lower middle class is kinda shit

and it'd be more than that with lodging
like for real cons themselves are pretty pricey, but throw in a round trip ticket to and from london and a hotel stay in an area where the cost of living is WAY higher than my home city, and i'm legitimately fucked
