Aaaah, what a nice day. The grass is green, the sky is blue, the birds are singing, and right beside him is his lovely, lovely tuba, already cleaned and absolutely glowing in the sunlight. Ahh, how much does Henry love his tuba, exactly? Probably way too much.

Adjusting his grip on the instrument (and by doing so, ignoring any other students or staff in the vicinity in the process), Henry pressed his lips to it, and began to blow each and every bit of breath outta his lungs. Unfortunately the result wasn't too nice sounding; it...sounded more like a dying cow with every breath he put into it.

Really, that might be why the cattle that wasn't too far away began moving towards him, while most of everyone else seemed to leave or cover their ears. Unfortunately for them, the playing continued, and the cows drew even closer - it was when they surrounded him that the playing eventually stopped. A makeshift army of his own, how nice! He just had to use up his breath to summon them! Fun!

It was out of the corner of his eye that he noticed one of his band classmates; actually, come to think of it, they were also in the same Zoology class, weren't they? Wow, what a coinkydink!

Raising both of his arms and waving them around, Henry started calling out to her. "Heeey! Hey! I have something good to tell you!" Oh boy, she'd probably be udderly surprised to hear what abilities these instruments had. Though by doing so he dropped the tuba onto his foot. Well.

♔ -{ Break is over, kids. It's time to get back to work. And what better way to ring off the new year than to see who has what it takes?

"For this assignment, there will be a Cook-Off. For those who are ignorant enough not to know what this is: A Cook-Off is a competition in which contestants prepare meals for judging. In this competition, you students are the contestants, and I am the judge. You will face off against a partner, or two, if that is the case, and whomever has the supreme dish will move up in the ranks, until a winner is found. There will be two separate contests- one for the Advanced Class, and one for the Regular Class. "

The assignment was a simple one, or at least, that's a social butterfly would think. E-ki had no comfort zone as was visible by friends and strangers alike, the youth didn't seem the possess the sort of self-conscious nature that most students his age seemed to cradle in their nest of the norm.

But that's exactly what made him perfect for this assignment, wasn't it? Although such a willingness, was that even further from the norm? Whatever the case, it may or may not have been well known by now, the way E-ki seemed to have a lack of a "personal bubble" as one may say, of any kind. Not to say he assumed others were just like him--that would be a drastic mistake! And a rather disappointing one at that; did he really seem that foolish?--rather, he made it his point to go out and introduce his sort of extreme extroverted demeanor, no matter how clueless or naive he may seem.

I want each of you to go out, find someone you don’t know, walk beside them and lightly grab their hand.

Those were his instructions, and yes, he'd follow them through without question! All in all, he's had enough of getting on the wrong side of the class, and it was only the second day of the year!

Ah, but no matter; this is just his luck! A stranger, somebody perhaps he'd seem around campus, but never gotten to talk to. Yes, that was fine, that would do. And with his signature smile did the youth approach, grasping their hand lightly.

What would happen? Well, that's what the assignment was for, now, wasn't it?

Ah, Academia Mare. The one school she could have gotten into, and had never even heard of. Was it really a stroke of luck she was accepted here? Maybe, maybe not, she hadn't decided; She hadn't come to meet many people just yet, sadly. This school could be filled with absolute freaks for all she knew, or she might even meet someone she knew from her past. Well, at least it was pretty.

She had limited knowledge of where to go at the moment, but she didn't care too much over that matter. Simply strolling the school would be perfectly fine for her, taking everything in by memory and maybe eventually flagging someone down and asking for help. No harm in that, right? It was easy to speak to other people now, so she shouldn't have any problem. Just a simple question, maybe ask them to lead her or just ask them for directions. Who knew, she could maybe make a new friend.

She was pretty excited for her classes. If she was quite honest with herself, she was actually excited for eighth period as well; Not really for the crowd, the amount of people would be a bit awkward, but for the playing. She hadn't played an instrument in a while, only her voice. It'd be a good change for her.

But, well, classes weren't her top priority. She would need to figure out where to go really soon or she might get lost, and that wouldn't be good. Maybe flagging someone down now would be the best idea? It was best to get help as soon as possible, and there were a good amount of people around.

Yes, let's do this.
