Cal's features narrowed quickly. "I didn't ask him to help. He offered and if I had said no, don't you think he would still do as he wishes?" He shook his head which he clasped between his fingers. "You are insufferable. Yongguk has little to do with this, anyway. He isn't the reason you're upset with me...Or is he? Is it because of him you no longer trust me, René? Are you worried he'll rub off on me and I'll hurt Soojung?"

Scoffing loudly, but with no mirth, René shakes his head as he looks away, letting the others words settle in before his anger bubbles. In a fit of rage he throws away the book on his lap and rises swiftly to his feet 0 eyes glowering a storm at the younger vampire. "Do not feel that you have to suffer me on my own account, Caliban! You know where the door is located, take to it if you wish but know that I have had enough of bending to your whims only to have it thrown back in my face by an impertinent child! I did what you asked, I withdrew my objection as you wished yet still you stand here and insult me!" He waves a hand angrily in the others direction, "you have inhabited yet a wisp of the time I have yet you should know what a cloak of lead it is to have the pride of a vampire, but I relented, for you... you dare to call me insufferable, when you carry the blood of the very man I hated! Yet I stayed by you..."

Apologies had never been Cal's strong suit, that was apparent. "Perhaps not." The younger chuckled. "It's not my intention to insult you, René, merely that I wish you thought more of me when I asked for a chance."

"Do not play the fool Caliban, it does not suit you..." Laying his arm on the rest of the chair he raises his eyes from the page to look back at the young vampire. "You meant exactly what you said, or you would not have said it. You are still angry at me because I did not bend to you". Gently closing the book he gazes down at it before they flash up to his brother again. "You know just as well as I do, that had it not been for Yongguk's intervention we would not be where we are now. We have both been positioned by a man with more muscle mass then brain capacity, and it is not becoming of either of us..." Raising an eye brow he gazes away with a hint of irritation. "I do not claim to be much in connection with ones emotions, but should you not be happy now?"

Cal stood in front of him. "Soojung came to me last night." He began. "I came to thank you. I acted like a spoiled child and I apologize, but I had expected someone as close to me as you would have at least given me the chance if it was so important to you."

"You apologies, yet here you are, criticising me yet again..." he hums, eyes continuing to look down at his book as he turns the page. "You will never be happy will you, Caliban.."

"Hmmm?" René hums in reply, turning the page of his book as his eyes scan the page. "What can I help you with, Caliban? Or are you here to throw more insults at me?" Raising an eye brow he lifts his eyes from the book and looks back at the young vampire.

Long Awaited Reunion || Caliban & Soojung

Pearly whites clamp down onto the pink flesh of her bottom lips. Gnawing at them to an angry red as she eagerly looks from the window to her driver. Parting her lips to ask the man once more for time till their arrival. Only to immediately cut herself off when he gives her a knowing look, warning her that they were minutes away and she shouldn't ask. Though she didn't blame him, recalling herself repeat the same question multiple times within the first two minutes of their travels. Biting down onto her bottom lip again, Soojung tried to contain her eagerness, all the while her legs bounce in place on the ball of her frontal sole. Childishly impatient.

With the vehicle coming to a slowing halt, she immediately bolts out of the car. Not even allowing her driver a chance to set foot out of his own door as she climbs the familiar stairs which lead to her, love. Caliban. Wrapping the door with a few brisk knocks, she smooths down her wild red locks which were merging pink. Using the time to stare down at her appearance only to be appalled by her own unkempt appearance, finally realizing that she had left her home the moment Rene had left in her tattered pajamas and the shirt she had secretly kept for herself. 

But before she could leave, the door unlatches and the dark haired man who's been haunting her thoughts and heart for weeks appears. Causing her breathe to hitch for a second before she throws herself at him. Arms wrapped around his neck and legs wrapped around his waist to hoist herself up upon him. Pulling away to gather some words between her attempts to devour his lips. She mumbles. " I love you.. we're never be apart ever again okay?! " She presses her lips to his before Caliban even had the chance to respond.

Minwoo had just gotten a text message from one of his old friends, the message containing a joke that he instantly thought was hilarious. So he turned to the first person that he could find beside him on the train and tapped his shoulder. “Hey… Why did the chicken cross the road?” His brown eyes twinkled a bit as he tried to stifle his laugh and the stranger looked up at him with an eyebrow raised. “To get to your house… Knock Knock.” It was definitely visible, how young Minwoo actually was by how hilarious he found this joke.

He heard a gentle, "Who’s there?" from the male beside him and he genuinely smiled at him, whispering. “The chicken!” Before he burst out into laughter.  ”I’ve never heard that one before.” Nodding and closing his phone, he turned in his seat to the man and extended his hand. “I haven’t either, my friend sent it to me. I’m Minwoo by the way.”
