If Amaryllis was an NPC in a game, what kind of quest would she give? What kind of quest would Lemon give?
You dropped this ask and my dumb ass wanted to write actual dialoge why would you do this to me. I love you.
Amaryllis in the Villian AU is the Lion Empress putting out ads for adventurers to bring her information on The Boar, or to bring them directly to her. During the questline she would get closer to the PC, sharing more about why she started the coupe and took the throne, meeting her various advisors(all also noble bastard children), drinking tea that Amaryllis made herself, etc. The rewards would get more personal the further in you got, like they start out just as money but later are things the PC mentioned they liked like a specific tea etc. Then the PC finally gets to The Boar and finds out that she wants to overthrow the monarchy (for good reason tbh) and the PC has to choose which route to take. Best ending is making these two idiots actually talk to each other instead of doing their angsty foreplay fights.
Lemon's quest depends on if she's with the party or not. If she's with the party she basically has a long-ish fetch quest. The PC would see her while on shift at the Foxhill Bakery, clearly worried about something, and if the player talks to her she would say that she needs to go gather ingredients for a pastry for her friends but she can't make it to the market before it closes! The PC would run back and forth from the market to the bakery, buying items based on Lemon's description of her friend and dropping off the ingredients, and getting bits of info about how Lemon feels towards the specific friend. At the end of it all she would give them a portion of each different bake, which restores HP because potion pastries, and enough cash to cover the cost of ingredients times 3.
If she was still home, then it’s most likely just before her court date. It would be a frankly annoying timed quest where the PC has to gather the needed information to win the case, with help from the various cousins/aunts/uncles and Tadhgan. If they fail the timed quest, then it switches to either getting Lemon out safely as an escort quest, or ends with the PC getting a wedding invite. Path one reward is Rosalind giving the PC a large sum as a reward, a small carved sending stone shaped like a magnolia to call in a favor from the family, and a very appreciative Lemon with a standing invitation to dinner. The escort quest would get the PC a new party member, or Lemon would give them half of the sum Rosalind would have given them, some scones, and her thanks before leaving. If they go to the wedding they only get cake, clearly not baked by any of the Family because it is dry and unsatisfying.

For Ra’d it’s her neck, shoulders, and chest. For Kerri it’s her jawline, arms, and thighs. Also both of their eyes and mouths. Zimri is really just a fuckin fool for both of them. They walk in the room and she immediately looks at them.
7. What's the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Thankfully modernAU Zimri has significantly less problems than canon Zimri, so as soon as she realizes her feelings for Ra’d aren’t just “holy shit she’s hot” Zimri starts to give her a ton of gifts and blatantly flirts. It still takes forever for Ra’d to realize Zimri is flirting.
If I remember right they met Kerri in a bar. Zimri hit on Kerri first because “wow she’s hot AND funny? Ra’d can we take her home please?”, but Kerri didn’t think she was serious at first, so Zimri threw Ra’d at her to explain. Ra’d cannot lie, so Kerri is Convinced. Kerri also gets a ton of gifts and when they all move in together Zimri routinely steals bits of clothing or accessories so they match.
12. Who initiates kisses?
Zimri is more of a boob/thigh grabber, but she’s very physically affectionate overall so she would encourage the girls to kiss her.

All spoons, though since they’re mostly on a ship it’s hard fitting more than two people in a bunk/hammock. She does lean to the jetpack style with larger partners and big spoon with smaller, but is mostly just happy to be with them.

Laura uses very boring nicknames tbh. Her father is a bard (one of the bardiest considering he seduced a literal sea demon out of a contract for his soul and got a baby and a demon wife out of it) but she sure isn’t. Vaska tends to be lovely, Grusha sweetness, and Hallafax darling.
13. Who reaches for the other's hand first?
Laura is so damn soft but is always a little nervous about her hands. She has little paw pad texture on her palms and the tips of her fingers, and sharp claws she keeps filed down, so she’s a little self conscious of her hands. Though she is the first to play with someone’s hair, or try to spin someone into a dance.

Pre figuring out their nonsense it’s the back and forth of “Would you stop using misty step and jUST LET ME EXPLAIN MY PLAN YOU MIGHT LIKE IT” and Eilidh just “>:P” and poofing away. After that it's who gets to top. Just two switches vying for the top.
6. Favorite feature of their partners?
Amaryllis is just so interested in Eilidh’s tattoos, and her skin in general is just such a lovely shade of blue. She also has very nice arms that are totally not distracting at all.
10. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
Amaryllis remembers Eilidh’s order, and Eilidh tries but her girlfriend's order is long and complicated.
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Her father thinks the whole thing is honestly godsent. Her grandmother is mostly relieved they didn’t kill each other. They both privately think that without Eilidh, their girl would have lost herself in the persona of the Lion Empress, and become more violent and vicious as a result.

As a filthy noble it is her nature to lounge, and doing so with the lovely creatures she’s so taken with is an event she prefers to draw out for as long as possible.

If they will let her, she will absolutely spin them around the room the moment something inspires her. The sun glinting just so off of Koyla’s fur, Vaathu in profile with the open sky behind her, anytime Magpie uses her wit to create new inspiration, all of it.

She tends to have it done to herself, mostly because both of her partners seem to enjoy doing it to her. She will make a fuss about not enjoying it. She’s lying to save face. Her partners know this. I can’t speak for Eilidh but Zadok prefers to edge themself at the same time they edge Amaryllis. They take great pride in taking care of their Empress, but refuse to give themselves satisfaction until ordered to take it.

Amaryllis is a knight at heart, so her body has always felt more like a tool than something to think is aesthetically pleasing. That said, she likes the shape of her tail. It looks like her fathers did before it was forcibly docked. For Zadok it’s their shoulders. They’re so solid it makes her feel safe, which is a rare thing when in her position. She used to love Sterling’s eyes, but after she was revealed as Eilidh it switched to her hands.

Before Eilidh there was Zadok, and before Zadok there was Volha. Volha she was briefly with when she was out in the world trying to earn a name to impress her mother. When she came back her friendship with Zadok deepened. After she became the Lion Empress she thought she was courting Sterling, who ended up being Eilidh in disguise.

Most days she doesn’t think about it at all. Running a country one took by force doesn’t leave much time for daydreaming. She does think about pinning Eilidh down after a fight, or of crawling into Zadok’s lap after an especially trying meeting, but she is practical and doesn’t dwell long.

Though she is fond of casual platonic affection in the form of linking arms while walking, or leaning against a friend. Enough to know what she likes and doesn’t. Fiore isn’t against a casual dalliance here and there, but she hasn’t really had any long term partners for various reasons. She might like to someday though.

Digging in the garden with a tiefling girl while her father chatted with a visiting druid. She had so much fun with the girl, and her parent was So Cool. Too bad they’re nomadic :(
🎯 -What do they do best?
She is actually really good at public speaking and planning. Half of her takeover being so successful was because she managed to rally enough support in such a short amount of time, and turn key players to her side. The people are a bit more split on her rule, but they’ll come around with time :)

Honestly? I tried to think of a nonthreatening name for a man, came up with Benjamin, and slapped it in a 7ft tall orc DILF who could kill you but most likely won’t. Also because I think the nickname is funny for him.

He LOVES playfully annoying his two kiddos and the other wee ones in the family. He’s very playful and boisterous, so any chance he has to keep an eye on them he’ll take. Benji takes great joy in nurturing the next generation, and loves all of them fiercely.
He HATES having to do paperwork. Hates it. If the legal side of the organization didn’t rest on paperwork being in order he’d burn it all and host a BBQ. Danya is well known to glare him into sitting down and dotting his I’s and crossing his T’s.

A historical romantic dramedy. He’d be a great romantic interest.

She is a farmer! She works mainly with animal husbandry, but does sometimes get pulled into the orchards or fields to help there. Cici also does some volunteering at the local temple healing people. She’s not a strong caster, but she’s got two hands and a good head on her shoulders.
🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?
Really wonderful actually! I am Struggling to find the file where I listed her adoptive parents, but I think they’re a halfling and a dwarf couple. She’s an only child, and one of her parents is a caravan guard for the Bakhouzin family. The other is a farmer as well. They’re close, but since she became an adult her parents have taken to travelling together more so she sees less of them. They send letters and use a sending stone as often as they can though.

Three characters
2 - What was your original concept for this character? How did playing them change that concept?
Lemon - So when I was invited to the group I really wasn’t sure what to play, just that I knew I wanted to play a caster. The very first concept for Lemon was a wizard developing spells to help her bake, but when I found out we had a wizard and a druid someone suggested I complete the circle of caster nerds as a knowledge cleric! Then Lemon was added to the Bakhouzin family, which I’d been developing off and on for roughly two or so years by that point. Originally she wasn’t going to have anything to do with the Family Business, but after sitting on it I thought it was weird she wouldn’t be affected by it at all, and the original thought I had for her to leave home didn’t work as well. So instead of leaving home to discover new recipes to impress her family, she was sent away for her safety after her mother shoved her into an arranged marriage. Lemon was also supposed to be much more mischievous right off the bat, but after thinking of her emotional issues that got scrapped until she’s more secure in her position with the team.
Laura- A sassy NPC who no one would remember, but then Vaska got attached and now she’s my most adjusted character with the most bonker’s parents. Daughter of a bard who owns a seaside tavern and The Great Dread, a shark/angler fish dread wave mistresses. Her husband lovingly calls her Katherine, Katy, My dearest love, etc. Laura’s parents are so sappy. She still doesn’t have a class yet, but I think she would be a sorcerer/warlock!
Amaryllis - So she originally was traveling out of her home country to make a name for herself so her noble mother would claim her and she wouldn’t be a bastard anymore. In the oneshot she was attentive, curious, and only picked one fight with a rude captain who shouldn’t have been in charge of anything. Playing her that way made me realize she would be much better suited as a hero turned villain with a redemption arc. So The Lion Empress was born! Upon returning from attempting to make a name for herself, she survived a murder attempt by her mother and the other higher ups in her family, and started a violent military takeover against the corrupt nobility :D Now she reigns as The Lion Empress, working to weed out the corrupt nobles, protect the people, and somehow find a way to transfer power without the country collapsing around them.
11 - If they have a pet or animal companion, how do they spend time with them? If they don’t have one, what sort of animal would they be interested in raising, if any?
Lemon - She wants one so bad and was very tempted to try to argue to keep a mimic, but the party all seemed pretty strongly against it so she didn’t push. Lemon would be too worried about keeping a pet alive in the field, so currently she’s leaning towards finding a way to get a familiar so she can have a flying snake friend. The noodle would be cuddled and worn under her scarf, fed bits of food, and she’d share snark with them about things she notices but are worried the party wouldn’t like her snarking about. .
Laura - She would love to snuggle with a ship cat, but something about her tends to make animals a little nervous. Maybe it’s the teeth? Other than that she doesn’t have a strong urge either way! Pup is enough of a responsibility for her.
Amaryllis - As a child she wanted a pet griffin, because she’d settled on the idea from reading tales of old knights that she should have an animal companion tied to heraldry. Now she doesn’t have time for a pet, let alone something that outlandish. Instead she visits her father and pets his dog or spends time in the stables with the horses. Overall she still prefers her plants to animals.
25 - Who is their best friend?
Lemon - Coyote was her first friend, and Blair and Adja were practically her little siblings, but Tadhgan held the honor of Best Friend for a long time even with all the attempts at flirting. Lemon made up her mind early on she wouldn’t lose him as a friend because he was too important to lose, but that didn’t stop her from getting butterflies anytime they lingered a bit.
Laura - Within the oneshot she was played in Felix! He’s a human fighter and a bit of an asshole, but honestly her best friend on the ship. She loses to him at Pearl in the Deep a lot, and they tease each other over nearly everything.
Amaryllis - Zadok hands down. They have seniority over any friendship she may make later in life. They met as children, before they turned 9, and have been inseparable ever since. They became her most trusted general and right hand when she took the throne.
38 - Do they see themselves as an important part of their party?
Lemon - That is a complicated answer, the short version is “no but maybe sometimes”. She’s pretty sure the party would do just fine without her in basically everything, but how much of that is her own self worth issues and how much is based in any fact is up for debate. But please don’t debate her she might cry
Laura - As one of the ship’s medics and one of the best at tying knots? Absolutely she’s important. Also who else would keep Felix from being an actual asshole? She’s good for ship morale!
Amaryllis - As empress she recognizes her worth as a piece in the larger political game. This does not stop her from creating plans on how to handle various situations if she were to die, or be killed in battle, or assassinated, or if removing her from power would lead to a more secure future for the people and those she loves.
55 - They’re seeing their greatest wish come true–what’s happening?
Lemon - Her mother disappeared under mysterious circumstances before her engagement. No one questions it. There was no contract. Uncle Benji starts to talk about moving her in with him or letting her keep the house but lo and behold, her father comes home. He explains why he left, and Lemon actually thinks it was for good reason instead of what she suspects is just an excuse not to be around his failure of a marriage and useless daughter and it takes awhile but they figure out where they fit and have an actual relationship. Lemon discovers in her own time that as much as she loves Tadhgan they aren’t suited in the long run, because she doesn’t actually just want to be a baker in Shireforth and never leave home or develop her magic. Her father is there for her first heartbreak and has actual advice and offers care and support for his daughter. After all that she is able to leave home and join the party on her own terms. Lemon has the time to discover what she actually wants to do with her life, still meet the friends she comes to love, and not be terrified of messing things up all the time because she has a home to return to.
Laura - Her Pa and Ma get to live together the whole year instead of having one 24 hour period together on her birthday every year. Ma gets to move between the sea and land and see the tavern Pa built for her. The women she loves are on the same ship as her and their captain is lovely and capable. Gets an extra smooch from her partners.
Amaryllis - Her mother claimed her as heir, and while they never quite had the relationship she dreamed of they are an effective team. Her mother and father make amends and while they don’t start a relationship they can be in the same room without one or the other leaving immediately. Amaryllis is able to make reforms in the nobility without mass bloodshed. The people know her as kind and strong and reliable. When the Boar comes to their borders she and Zadok are able to speak with her, show her what they’re doing to make a smooth transition of power. Amaryllis never meets Sterling, and falls in love with Eilidh instead while they all work together to make their kingdom better. She and Zadok and Eilidh start their relationship under better circumstances.

🍑What sort of traits does your OC look for in a Significant Other?
The caveat here being she only loves two people, so this is mostly just why she fell in love with those two people lol. She’s had fwb before, but Zadok and Eilidh/Sterling are the only two people she has romantic feelings for.
The Lion Empress - Stability first, and someone who can make her smile second. Zadok fills both of these roles, as her oldest childhood friend and right hand general. The person she chooses to start courting, the ever charming Sterling, she chose because of how easy it is to smile around her. While she may not be a constant like Zadok, she is a genuine joy to interact with. Though once she’s revealed to be Amaryllis’ enemy the Boar, her feelings are much more complicated.
Modern Reincarnation AU - Amaryllis fell in love with Zadok as naturally as breathing, their presence calming and steady and constant. She loves their humor, and how they can command a room or blend into the background. Eilidth was somehow easier and harder to fall for. When Amaryllis saw her she just Knew. Eilidh pushes her in a way Zadok doesn’t, but cushions the fall with her humor and the little things she does to show she cares. Like making coffee for them in the morning, helping around the flower shop, etc.
🍻What's your OC's favorite comfort ritual? How do they calm themselves down after a rough day?
The Lion Empress - After long hours spent in war meetings, dealing with the remaining nobility and explaining to them that no you cannot tax my subjects this harshly, no you may not do this or that, Amaryllis can often be found in the courtyard garden tending to her tea plants. She is joined by Zadok on the days they are available, her father or grandmother when they have the time, or by herself on especially rough nights when she cannot sleep. Getting her hands in the earth and working the soil soothes her in ways nothing else can.
Modern Reincarnation AU - Even after spending hours cutting and arranging flowers, Amaryllis winds down by spending an hour or so on her bonsai trees. She also enjoys taking the time to prepare tea blends for her loved ones, testing and retesting the blends until they suit their tastes perfectly.
🍟What does your OC admit to be their guilty pleasure? What actually is their guilty pleasure?
The Lion Empress - The arts as a whole really. The Lion Empress persona she crafted to successfully raise her army and take the throne is calculating, ruthless, and while she may give her subjects enough to live in comfort, they saw what she did to the nobles who did not conform. Crying at an especially moving performance isn’t really a great way to keep up that image. She loves wandering art galleries or museums, listening in on musicians in taverns or auditoriums.
Modern Reincarnation AU - Trashy reality TV, specifically things like The Housewives of _. She and Zadok grew up encased in old old money, so rich people drama playing out on screen with silly edits and memes is the height of entertainment for her.
Daffodil
🍎Do they share any features or traits with any family members?
She and her mother really only share the same pointed ears and violet eyes, but other than that she looks very similar to her father! Her father was tall and lean, fair of both hair and skin, with big dark eyes. They studied the same sword style, and with the two of them in full armor side by side it would be very hard to tell them apart! I like to think if she did find her mother, she would know Daffodil was her child based on how she fights. Daffodil shares her mother’s love of adventure and her fathers love of music and poetry.
🍰What's something your OC counts as unforgivable?
Damaging one of her muses or sources of inspiration. Though her muses are lucky in that sense because she values them all above inspirational trinkets so if Magpie sold one, or in Koyla’s enthusiasm she broke one Daffodil wouldn’t care. At that point her muse is creating inspiration for her, and the sacrifice was necessary. She does wish the girls would stop stealing her family's spoons though.
🍩What's a crime your OC is most likely to commit? What's a crime they're most likely to get arrested for?
To be honest probably just murder. I know that’s common with adventuring types but it’s true. Daffodil has some minor to major yandere tendencies with her muses, and if someone goes out of their way to be cruel to any of them Daffodil is fairly likely to come back for them at a later point to take care of the issue. I’m not sure if the others know about it though, since it is fairly common for her to wander off from the group to gather some extra bits of inspiration before returning to them. She would actually be arrested for breaking and entering, most likely getting caught up in one of her architect's schemes.

🍹Does your OC have any funny anecdotes told about them?
Laura is hilariously enough my most normal, well adjusted character. Most of her funny anecdotes have to do with her just being generally sassy, charming, or occasionally talking shit about nobility. The only in-game sass I have is from when she was sassing Livianna, a blue dragonborn noble my friend played in a oneshot I dm-ed where their ship was transporting a statue and a cult came after it.
