Awesome, thank you!!! xox
11. What’s your longest fanfic?
Well I had to go search because I had no idea! It turns out, it’s If I Had Three Wishes (They'd All Be For You), which is Larry fic, 66265 words, Explicit, written for the 2017 One Direction Big Bang.
When Harry Styles sets off for Provincetown, MA from his tiny hometown of Kerkhoven, MN, he’s facing an uncertain future. He’s always planned to leave, just...not like this. When he meets a gorgeous cabaret performer on his first night in P-town, little does he know how his life is about to change, or how much he has yet to learn. When they become more than just friends, Louis makes it clear he's not looking for anything serious, but at least, Harry consoles himself, they’ll always be friends. Over one extraordinary summer, Harry learns to navigate life on his own through a journey of self-discovery and sexual awakening. But when Harry’s past tragically reappears in his life, will his friendship with Louis be able to hold on?
Pal, I gotta tell you. I love this fic. It’s not perfect of course, but man. If you’re interested in friends to FWBs to lovers, it’s for you! If you want some angst and heartache, it’s for you! If you want lots of song references, it’s for you! It’s got whale watches and cabaret and Provincetown and a lot of sex.
22. Do you listen to music during your writing process? What music do you listen to while you’re writing?
I do not because my ADHD brain will not let me focus if I have anything going on! I am deeply and profoundly inspired by music in my writing, and I’m always getting fic ideas when I listen to music! Obviously, music was a huge part of (We'll Call This Fixer-Upper) Home, and I’ve got a playlist I listen to to get me in the mood for Draco’s pre-story, but when I’m actually writing, it’s gotta be somewhat quiet, or I have to have ambient noise (like coffee shop, those were the days).
I answered 33 here, so I’l pick... ummm
26. First-person-narrative or third-person-narrative?
Third-person, pretty much all the time. I do not write fic in 1st person (though I’d probably write an original thing in 1st? Maybe?), and I don’t read it either. It’s just one of those automatic NOPES for me, I dunno. I can’t get there. As always, I’m 1000% on team “Write what you want, how you want to, hopefully, tagged appropriately” but for me, it’s generally a no-go. Well, there are a few writers where I follow them anywhere, and I think I’ve read a couple in my many years of fic reading? Yeah, it’s just a bridge too far for my little brain.
