Just came back from a nice trip to Vancouver Island, they have a very cool system of linked repeater there that basically grants coast-to-coast coverage. I took part in a morning net and it was impressive, 20+ participants. Very inspiring.

Diamond A1430S8

Sometimes I think about all the things that I want to do... I want a nice home station for HF, I want to do DX and maybe a DX expedition, I want to take part in emergency radio training, I want to get friends active with a basic license to have a small local net, I want to take psrt in contests... And I panic.
And then I realize I have still all my life to do this and I don't have to do all of it in one summer
Heads up, new ISS SSTV event coming.
Just taking a stroll on 20 meters
Started with Meshtastic, bit of a ghetto engineering for the battery doesn't fit the case supplied with the node .. just a couple of nodes so far, but I look forward to bringing it in the big city soon.
The FT-817 is only 300€ on the secondary market... I shouldn't... But 2m ssb is calling me...
Slowly working on convincing a couple of friends to do their licenses... I bought a couple of the new baofeng uv-k5 mini to gift to them if they decide to study for the exam... My evil plan of getting some friends to start a net on the local repeater is slowly hatching... 😈😈
