Got a new book 1 coming ( and possible main cover) for Amatharine’s first chapter, which is now complete.

Art is by Kitsunoko, Amatharine’s main artist.

Amatharine the story of a vixen named Rune, who adopts a mysterious human child, with a unique connection to knowledge and relics lost to history.

Okay real question ? If in like a year or two ( or several months) Amatharine’s first planned arc ends should I maybe… stop it there depending how things go?

I mean lately it seems the longer a franchise ( show, movie/ book series, graphic novel, webcomic, etc) seems to go on the worse it gets…

The allure of a popular indie project making a lot of money at a time we all need it is tempting, should I ever get there, but like isn’t that the trap everyone falls into ?

It goes on way past its prime and gets bad.

Meh. Only if I feel I have a further story to tell with my characters and world ( Amatharine’s purpose is to be a heart warming fantasy mystery found family tale)

That aside, quitting while one is ahead… perhaps Arcane had the right idea ending on two seasons.

I would gladly take a second wobbly but still solid season over 3-4 mid to shit seasons easily

I updated Amatharine’s webtoons format so that it’s 2 or more pages at a time. I hope this makes reading the story more fun.

TLDR: Please reframe from comparing Amatharine to Tamberlane it’s NOT a copy and not even remotely trying to be. The similarities do kot run that deep besides a few ropes at best.

Okay so I saw some people are under the impression Amatharine is a clone of or similar to the webcomic, Tamberlane by Caytlin Vilbrandt

Some people told me as such.l recently. Well let me put this rumors to rest…

Amatharine is NOT a copy. It’s not supposed to mirror that story either. It’s supposed to be its own unique thing

Like okay yes I see the similarities in the art below; we’ve got a anthro animal woman adopting a human toddler, who is also female. Yes just like Tamberlane on first glance.

But damn it, I wrote the entirety of my story specifically to be different than Tamberlane’s story direction. Tamberlane is all well and good but being compared to a comic is frustrating. Tamberlane has its own things that make it unique.

And I mean… neither the main characters in mine even look like the ones in Tamberlane.

It’s a blue fox adopting a girl who is not even the same raise as the titular character! Not a white bat- squirrel thing.

Its more of a Breath of the Wild type inspiration for the world building.

I could ramble on; but you I hope I made my point. Please don’t throw comparisons my way it kinda upsets me. Even you mean well by doing so.

Stories can have similar tropes at times. I mean it’s not like these are the whole things ever that involves humans existing in the same community as a non/human creatures or even being adopted by said creatures.
