hey, i hope you dont mind me asking but when you're doing the gtkmm for tv series/otps, where do you get your clips from? do you download the entire series & slowly comb through scenes you want to gif or is there a more efficient way?
as for where i get the video from, for most of the stuff i post it is from downloading it on iTunes and running it through a program (M4VGear) so that i can edit the footage in Photoshop. other times I just do screen records of stuff I have DVDs of or am watching online. a last resort is torrent downloading sites, although i haven’t used one in a while so i would have to do a google search to remember which one it was. just make sure you have anti virus software and stuff.
as for how i go about combing through scenes to pick what to GIF, i generally just have scenes or episodes in mind that i want to use. i occasionally will just skim through a bunch of episodes if i am looking for additional or better GIF material. i also will do rewatches specifically to take notes on different themes and stuff of certain shows, but that isn’t really for the ‘get to know me’ memes.
