Honestly the "YOU" Finale has captured in one phrase everything the this show was about and it was such a nice, slow progression to this point, I'm impressed with the new season

"The fantasy of a man like you is how we cope with the reality of a man like you."

No matter how much people LOVED Joe for his intensity, in the end he was still fucked in the head and an abuser who clinged to any reason and excuse he could, to hurt people. It doesn't matter how he became like that at all. This kind of behaviour is the best when it's just that - a fantasy and not something real & it truly does help to cope with the reality of these abusers in real life this way through literature and fiction
