Amazon workers in a Coventry warehouse have announced an initial strike date. The GMB Union are asking that you support our Colleagues.

Some great fighting talk from union speakers willing to take on Amazon.

Strikers told me that amazon managers and bosses have been intimidating staff & taking advantage of the fact that many workers are on zero hour contracts & many are immigrants and they speak a lot of different languages, so they've been lining the hallways to watch them as they leave shifts and lying about the union by saying the union is threatening people and beating them up, all to pressure them to stay silent and be too afraid to communicate so they don't go on strike with their colleagues. But they wont win - the strike was national news, from Philip Schofield talking about Jeff Bezos only offering a 50p raise from his billions on This Morning to major news coverage throughout the day. At one point we were live on Channel 4!

I told workers and union officials that over a thousand people from tumblr who are mostly queer/trans/nonbinary/otherwise lgbtq+ wanted them to know that they support the Amazon strikers.

One striker seemed surprised by this and I got to talk to him about how lgbtq+ people are working class too, how lgbtq+ rights are working class rights, how none of us are free from exploitation until we all are, so no wonder the gay website supports you, and he seemed to really take that on board.

All the workers were grateful for everyone who showed up and thank you all for your support - this is just the start.

Amazon UK Lists Three New Tamagotchi Original Shells

Looks like we’re getting even more shells for winter 2023, or perhaps they are meant for spring 2023. Amazon UK has just listed three brand new Tamagotchi Original shells, and per usual, we love them all. The three shells are Tama Universe, Memphis Style, and Garden Poppies.

First, the Tama Universe shell is out of this world (pun intended). The shell is a beautiful dark purple with planets, rockets, and stars surrounding the screen as well as Mimitchi and Pochitchi in their astronaut outfits. The screen is outlined by a blue color, and the buttons and Tamagotchi logo are white. Tama Universe features P2 programming.

Second, we have Memphis Style, which is an art deco-inspired design style. This shell is all about the bright colors in an abstract pattern. The base of the shell is white and features pink, yellow, and teal colors. The screen is outlined with a dark teal color, and black Tamagotchi logo and buttons. Memphis Style features P1 programming.

Lastly, we have Garden Poppies, which is very much appropriate for spring! Designed after the poppy flowers, the base color of the shell is a pastel blue with poppy flowers, and other flowers surrounding the screen. The screen it outlined in a yellow color, and the buttons are white, the Tamagotchi logo is pink. Garden Poppies features P2 programming.

These three new shells have yet to be announced by Bandai officially, and it’s not uncommon to see them floating around Amazon prior to an announcement. WIth the success of the Tamagotchi Original reboot, we will probably see many more shells in the future! These three shells are listed on Amazon UK for £16.99 with a release date of January 25th, 2023!
