Kura Revolving Sushi Bar x Tamagotchi Review
Once we heard that Tamagotchi US was teaming up with Kura Revolving Sushi Bar on a collaboration to celebrate the 30th anniversary, we knew it was going to be good! Kura invited the Tama-Palace team out for sushi to experience the collaboration at one of their locations, and it was such a treat!
First off the marketing/promotion in the restaurant is adorable! You will see the Tamagotchi graphics in the windows, but even as you walk in and see the sushi chefs making your sushi fresh, there’s a Tamagotchi banner in blue! Super cute.
We were greeted by the friendly staff as soon as we walked in, then we got seated at our table. The service was incredible and super friendly, we were always checked-in with, and our table was always clean..We were looking at all of the decorations and decals on the table, along with the sushi on the conveyer belt. Oh, and we were anxiously looking at the Bikkura Pon (capsule) machine to guess which prizes we’ll earn.
A robot delivered our drinks along with ginger, and wasabi, how awesome is that? Then the fun part started, we were looking at the conveyer belt for no other than the three collaboration menu items! These collaboration exclusive menu items are easy to locate on the conveyer belt as they are covered in Tamagotchi decorated plastic dome. Just look for them!
We really enjoyed these exclusive collaboration menu items, and they are perfectly themed after the respective character.
First we tried the Mametchi’s Tamago which has great flavor, and a nice crunch along with a little mayonnaise on top. This one was our favorite, and protein!
Second was Kuchipatchi’s Matcha Beef Roll, this one we were every skeptical about, matcha on sushi, and beef? Much to our surprise the matcha was subtle, the beef was flavorful, and cream cheese, what’s not to love? It’s very reminiscent oh a Philadelphia roll, and we know Kuchipatchi would love it.
Lastly was Memetchi’s Salmon Shrimp Crunchy Donut which we were really excited about, a sushi donut! This one can be challenging to eat because it tends to fall apart, so don’t be embarrassed to use chopsticks! The fresh salmon, and shrimp are delicious and the yuzu cream sauce is decadent and has a citrus-like flavor! This is a creative dish.
Not only did we enjoy all the sushi, but we even earned prizes. You will earn Bikkura Pon (capsule) prizes for eating 15 plates, 25 plates, and every 15 plates thereafter. So what did we earn? We scored the jackpot on the first try, we got the 30th anniversary can badge, then we kept eating to earn even more prizes which were the Mimitchi bubble sticker, and Kuchipatchi bubble sticker!
The collaboration runs until June 23rd, 2026 so be sure to make your reservation at the nearest Kura Revolving Sushi Bar restaurant near you, we would highly recommend it!
