When not posting vintage kitsch, I sometimes manage to do other things like play trumpet with Timothy Monger State Park. We recently shot this video for his song “Hayward” off his 2017 album Amber Lantern. I show up around the 1:30 mark and lead Tim into the woods to the entrance to the Black Lodge. ;) Enjoy!

Fireflies

We carry a lantern at all times. Little people we may be, yet we know how to charm with our amber light.

Often, we seem bigger; we always have a surprise for the giants.

They never see us coming until we pinch the golden arches.

Often mistaken for insects, they swat at us, yet our amber light confuses them.

We are often too quick; when the giants see us, they presume we are fireflies.
